    Job Overview:
    RWJBH Medical Surgical Unit is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator for our NOURISH dedicated orientation unit.


    Qualifications:


    Required:

    • BSN
    • At least 5 years experience as Medical Surgical Educator in the acute hospital setting
    • At least 5 years experience as Medical Surgical Educator in the acute hospital setting
    • National certification for clinical specialty
    • Strong communication, organizational skills, and presentation skills
    • Proficient computer skills

    Preferred:

    • MSN or must be enrolled in MSN program nearing completion
    Certifications and Licenses

    Required:

    • BLS and ACLS Certification
    • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

    Scheduling Requirements:

    • Day Shift
    • Monday Friday, some weekend commitment, flexible schedule required
    • FT

    Essential Functions:

    • Plan and design orientation plan for orientees, develop and provide continuing education, provide in-service programs in accordance with the requirements of NJ Board of Nursing current regulatory guidelines the Code of Ethics and institutional guidelines
    • Implement and evaluate educational activities/programs for the dedicated orientees
    • Develop and maintain employee records
    • Serve as a resource person for education and promoted education in the Nursing Division
    • Responsible for maintaining competencies as required by regulatory agencies
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and deliver education to ensure quality and best practice
