Results driven and highly skilled surgical nurse with 14 years of experience in all surgical specialties. Committed to providing accurate and compliant coding and billing services, I possess a proven track record in efficient time management, data collection and analysis, and team management. I am seeking a challenging position  to use my experiences with auditing and coding to improve documentation accuracy and revenue cycle performance. With the strong ability to grasp new concepts quickly and the capacity to efficiently work independently, I am confident in my ability to deliver measurable results. Extensive knowledge of surgical procedures, especially orthopedics. 

I started in the OR as a CST and then transitioned into a role as an OR-RN upon completion of my BSN. Worked at a top tier Level I hospital and a highly rated Orthopedic hospital before beginning a lengthy career as a travel nurse. I have done travel assignments in the OR for the last 12 years at medical centers ranging from critical access to Level I teaching hospitals. I have also written a few articles for the RN.com Newsletter, a continuing education newsletter for nurses.

Recently completed the AAPC-CPC course and passed the exam. Currently enrolled in the AAPC-Practicode course to gain additional coding experience.
