Description

A professional nurse that collaborates with the Director of Nursing for Nursing Professional Development in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating orientation and continuing education programs, both at the unit and/or departmental level.

She/he serves as a role model and a resource person for the nursing staff. She/he assumes 24 hour responsibility for staff development and practice in assigned areas in collaboration with unit management.


Responsibilities:


  • Identifies and utilizes specific learning needs prior to designing education programs/sessions.
  • Interprets staff learning needs to the line managers, engaging staff support for needed offerings.
  • Develops appropriate behavioral objectives and content outline on a timely manner.
  • Utilizes current medical/nursing literature during preparation.
  • Plans educational calendar according to the specific needs of the assigned areas.
  • Utilizes principles of adult teachinglearning process during classroom/clinical activities.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of various teaching methodologies.
  • Selects and uses appropriate audiovisual aides to enhance the learning process.
  • Communicates clearly, according to the level of the learner, during classroom/clinical presentation.
  • Creates an environment conducive to learning.
  • Performs all other tasks assigned by supervisor and/or designee.

Pay:
$151,006.00 per year

Ability to Relocate:
