Generally, facilitates and supports direct and/or indirect sales activities. Performs essential pre-deal tasks to support and manage the initial deal request for the sales team.
Reporting into the Sr.
Manager of Sales Support and Account Management, the role requires self-motivated, dedicated, and responsible individual with the ability to perform well under pressure.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary role will be supporting the Originators in the California market by assisting in the day-to-day management and support of prospective and existing power end use customers.
Price customer hedges for power commodities, in addition to environmental products via frequent communication with the Trade desks.Ensure detailed and accurate capture of customer transactions in systems of record along with retail TCs and back office.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with back office and IOUs in CAISO.
Request usage data, load profiles and work with back office to ensure all accounts are enrolled timely for additional load/customers.
Maintain strong commercial mindset and proactive customer care to maximize margins, retention rates and customer satisfaction.Engage with stakeholders across the life-of-a-deal on both Shell Energy Solutions and Shell Energy North America including SMEs in Trading, Origination, KYC, Credit, Finance, Contracts, IT, Scheduling, Risk, Back Office and Settlements.
Partner with C&I Origination to build and maintain productive relationship with customer base.Strong collaboration with Trading, staying abreast of market pricing conditions and drivers of market changes.
Effective communication with accounting functions to resolve any invoicing concerns.
Other duties may include supporting other markets as needed.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree and/or 3+ years of relevant experience in the Energy industry.
Experience with proven results in the Retail Energy sector.
Good communication skills, written and oral, for example ensuring sales agents are kept informed of any delays in turning around pricing requests, or outlining the rationale behind a decision not to approve credit for a customer.
Analytical mindset, demonstrate ability to problem solve and create practical solutions to overcome problems and mitigate risks.Comfortable working in a target-driven and fast-changing environment, and able to respond to changing business needs
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook and strong Excel skills
Excellent analytical, organization and time management skills, with the ability to maintain a strict level of attention to detail
Ability to work well within a team environment and demonstrate a vested interest in team goals and objectives
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships
Self-motivated with the desire to consistently improve performance and gain further knowledge
Ability to meet deadlines, learn quickly and demonstrate effective problem solving and follow-up skills
LOCATION & WORK SCHEDULE
Required to be in-person in San Diego, CA through a hybrid workplace environment.
