    Description
    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team.

    The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable functions, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.



    Responsibilities:

    Invoice Processing:
    Review and process invoices accurately and efficiently.
    Code invoices with proper account classifications.
    Ensure adherence to company policies and approval workflows.


    Payment Management:
    Prepare and execute electronic payments (ACH, wire transfers, etc.).
    Generate and reconcile physical checks as needed.
    Verify and validate payment information for accuracy.


    Vendor Relations:
    Maintain positive relationships with vendors and address inquiries.
    Resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoices and payments.
    Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding items.


    Expense Management:
    Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with policies.
    Reconcile expense reports with credit card statements.
    Verify receipts and documentation for accuracy.


    Record Keeping:
    Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
    Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
    Prepare and maintain accurate accruals for outstanding invoices.


    Reporting:
    Generate reports on accounts payable metrics and key performance indicators.
    Provide analysis and insights on payables to support financial reporting.


    Qualifications:
    Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
    Solid understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
    Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
    Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
    Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
    Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


    Education and Experience:
    High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
    Previous experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.
