    The Role at a Glance

    As the Director, Financial Analysis, you will provide leadership and direction to ensure group results for the Retirement Plan Services (RPS) business. You will direct a group that provides complex financial analysis and support to the business.

    What you'll be doing

    Financial Analysis
    • Leads the quarterly earnings process in conjunction with our partners in Corporate Finance
    • Responsible for partnering with Corporate on the presentation of financial results to internal and external parties (analysts, Board of Directors, Rating Agencies, etc.)
    • Directs product level profitability analysis, identifying trends and risks within
    • Directs the financial analysis needed to support the annual strategic planning process for the Retirement Plan Services business unit, including creation of cost benefit analysis for proposed strategic projects.
    • Directs the annual planning process specifically the Sales and Financial planning process.
    • Directs the development of long-term modeling to support the understanding of risks and opportunities within the business.
    • Partners with others across the business including pricing and valuation to direct the gathering of data and subsequent analysis needed to support our assumptions.
    • Directs the process of developing sufficient, accurate and reliable complex financial information to support data driven decision making.
    • Anticipates and proactively provides solutions to complex finance and/or financial analysis problems.
    • Identifies, recommends, and implements opportunities to make the complex financial analysis processes more efficient and achieve balance of timeliness and precision.
    • Directs and ensures a thorough evaluation of complex financial metrics and analysis while carefully following controls and processes to achieve efficiency.
    • Directs the complex analysis and validation of financial data to ensure information is sufficient, compliant, accurate and reliable.
    • Directs the research, analysis, recommendation, and implementation of complex financial analytics for assigned area(s) of responsibility financial analysis team.
    • Develops and implements financial analysis policies and procedures.

    • Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.
    • Directs and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards for assigned.

    • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the department.
    • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects.
    What we're looking for

    Must-Haves
    • 7+ Years' experience in financial analysis, including 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
    • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed, and logical discussions/presentations.
    • Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
    • Ability to analyze complex information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
    • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • 4 Year/bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors)

    Pay Range: $90,300 - $164,700

    Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
