Job Description:

The Business Development Manager reports to the Chief Partnership Officer (Business Development Director).

This position plays a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to grow and support external partnerships and their education and training benefits with LSU.

Responsibilities may include:
(1) Securing new partnerships; (2) Project management and executing the implementation of new partnerships; (3) Ensuring strong, quality lead generation for the partnership marketing channel; (4) Nurturing existing partnerships to ensure continued growth and opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

Operationalize partnership activities. This may include managing cross-functional activities that support the implementation and execution of partnership tasks. This role also manages the relationship with existing partners. 50%

Support of new partnership development opportunities. This may include research, building presentation decks, and meeting with potential partners. 30%

Develop and implement new processes to scale operations.

This may include documenting processes related to the implementation of new partners and off-boarding partners at the end of the commitment.

Works collaboratively with the Office of Communications and University Relations and adheres to the standards set by the division. Other duties as assigned. 20%

Additional Requirements:

Operation Essential Personnel - This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.

Additional Information:

Must be willing to travel and work nights/weekends as needed around peak enrollment seasons.

Due to the nature of the position and/or responsibilities, in times of emergencies and/or University closures, this position is considered operational essential.

It may be required to assist the Office of Communications and University Relations on necessary communications matters in times of crisis, including potentially working in LSUs Emergency Operations Center during those times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field with 3 years of experience

Specific Experience: Professional experience in sales, marketing, project management, recruitment, or related field.
