Little Bronchos Site Coordinator & Preschool Lead Instructor


WAGE:
$30.54 Per Hour


HOURS:
Monday-Friday 7:15am-3:45pm (180 days during the school year with the option for Summer Camp)

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Site Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Little Bronchos Preschool.

The Site Coordinator is responsible for the management of staff, leadership of staff and primary liaison between families and the program.

Preschool Lead Instructors are responsible to ensure the safety and instruction of students across all activities and locations. Instructors also take a lead role in insuring that all safety and compliance measures are met and maintained.

Lead Instructors serve as the primary contact for families and work closely with the building administrator to ensure the overall success of the program.


REPORTS TO:

The Site Coordinator/Preschool Lead Instructor reports directly to the Associate Superintendent over elementary.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development or Child Development Associate Cert.
  • 20 Hours of Early Childhood Online Training
  • Early Childhood Center Administration experience
  • Experience running a childcare/preschool program
  • Familiarity with NAEYC credentialing process
  • Familiarity with CCDF and PTQ credentialing process
  • Experience with leading and managing a team

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES-SITE COORDINATOR:


  • Create and launch recruitment campaign
  • Maintain NAEYC, CCDF and PTQ certifications and credentialing
  • Maintain On My Way credentialing
  • Grant writing/funds procurement
  • Engage with and initiate community collaborations
  • Staff recruitment and retention
  • Maintain Paths to Quality requirements
  • Secure and organize program materials
  • Oversee the educational program
  • Oversee financials of the program
  • Secure and provide appropriate professional development for staff

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES-LEAD INSTRUCTOR:


  • Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in the classrooms
  • Provide basic needs for children including but not limited to toileting, changing pullups, and opening items for breakfast/lunch
  • Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
  • Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals
  • Track children's progress and report to parents through conferences
  • There will be two conferences a year
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom
  • Help children reach developmental milestones
  • Collaborate with staff to implement lesson plans
  • Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills
  • Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times
  • Maintain inventory system for classroom materials and supplies
  • Facilitate various activities for children including songs, games and storytelling
  • Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures
  • Complete all training within 60 days of hire date
  • Provide direction and support to the Preschool Paraprofessionals assigned to the program

Pay:
From $30.54 per hour
