    Description

    Shockwave Medical, Inc. is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

    Position Overview

    The IT Operations intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supporting and optimizing our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT Operations team, contributing to our technology systems' maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement. This internship is designed to provide valuable exposure to various aspects of IT operations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assist in System Administration:
      • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
      • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues.
    • Network Management:
      • Participate in the management and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure.
      • Assist in monitoring network performance and identifying areas for improvement.
    • User Support:
      • Provide basic technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software inquiries.
      • Collaborate with the helpdesk team to ensure timely issue resolution.
    • Documentation and Reporting:
      • Document IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
      • Generate reports on system performance and assist in analyzing trends.
    • Security Compliance:
      • Assist in maintaining and enforcing IT security policies.
      • Participate in security audits and vulnerability assessments.

    Requirements

    • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.).
    • Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and hardware.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

    The market range for Shockwave Summer Internships is $ per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on undergraduate class standing.
