    About the Role:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the VP of FP&A will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting, investor relations, and decision support across the organization. A successful candidate will possess a combination of strategic vision, analytical prowess, and leadership acumen to guide our financial planning efforts and optimize performance. This is a hybrid role meaning you will primarily work from home but may be asked to work in our downtown San Francisco office on pre-determined days or attend scheduled office-based events.

We invite you to apply if you are a visionary finance leader with a passion for driving financial excellence and innovation.

The base compensation range for this role, not including the bonus, is: $250,000 - $300,000

    What you'll be doing:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive financial planning processes, including annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Provide strategic financial guidance and insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders, leveraging data-driven analysis to support decision-making and drive business performance.
    • Lead the FP&A team in conducting thorough financial analysis, variance analysis, and scenario modeling to identify trends, opportunities, and risks and support strategic initiatives.
    • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes and systems to enhance financial information efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as accounting, operations, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment of financial plans and strategies with operational activities and business objectives.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, analysts, and financial institutions, to support fundraising efforts and enhance the company's reputation and credibility in the market.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory developments that may impact financial performance, and proactively recommend adjustments to financial strategies and plans as needed.
    • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the FP&A team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to maximize individual and team performance.
    What we're looking for:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis roles, with a demonstrated track record of success in strategic financial management and leadership.
    • Proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
    • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights) preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of driving change and innovation to achieve business objectives.
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members, foster a collaborative work environment, and drive high performance.
    Benefits:

Our benefits include options for up to 100% paid Medical and Vision premiums for employees, flexible PTO policy, no internal meeting Fridays, Modern Health mental wellness platform, and 11 paid holidays and 2 additional weeks where all Demandbase employees take off (the week of July 4th and the week of Thanksgiving). Plus 401(k), short-term/long-term disability, life insurance, and all those good things.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Demandbase

At Demandbase, we believe in creating a workplace culture that values and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We recognize that everyone brings unique experiences, perspectives, and identities to the table, and we are committed to building a community where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated, and we strive to ensure that every individual has an equal opportunity to succeed and grow, regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, background, marital status, genetic information, education level, veteran status, national origin, or any other protected status. We do not automatically disqualify applicants with criminal records and will consider each applicant on a case-by-case basis.

We recognize that not all candidates will have every skill or qualification listed in this job description. If you have the experience to succeed in the role, we encourage you to apply

We acknowledge that true diversity and inclusion require ongoing effort, and we are committed to making our workplace a safe and equitable space for all. Join us in building a community where we can learn from each other, celebrate our differences, and work together.
