    The Senior Engineer, Structural is responsible for workingunder the supervision of Senior Engineers to develop structuralengineering solutions to the design of buildings and otherload-bearing structures.

    Explore your tasks and responsibilities

    Collaborates with other disciplines and contractors tosupport the development of design deliverables such as drawingsand specifications
    Reviews shop drawings and submittals to understand howdesign and construction are inter-related
    Attends construction and design verification walks andsubmit report of observations
    Prepares structural engineering calculations and finiteelement modelling under the supervision of a Senior Engineer
    Works closely with design and technical Teams in leadingthe development of design deliverables such as Reports andConstruction Documents, including drawings and specifications
    Analyses and designs the basic structural components of abuilding or other structure
    Coordinates structural models and drawings with the otherdesign disciplines
    Mentors Interns and junior members of project teams
    Other duties as assigned

    Show your expertise

    Bachelor's in Engineering required
    Master's Degree preferred
    Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or StructuralEngineering License (SE) preferred
    Nation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying(NCEES) Record preferred
    4+ years of experience
    Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills inmeetings and reports along with respect, tact and diplomacy
    Exhibit characteristics of an emerging or developed leader
    Be capable of enjoying the work and keeping a positiveattitude in a challenging environment
    Working knowledge Autodesk Building Systems Software designand delivery systems
    Exhibit a professional demeanour and be a proactive problemsolver
    Understand industry, drafting and design standardsassociated with detailing and construction document development
    Experience with Design-Build a plus.
