- Obtains and reviews closing documents; updates and maintains customer files to include surveys, certifications, loan approvals, deeds, etc. Performs computer data entry of information and prepares appropriate reports as required.
- Provides comparable information and documentation for property appraisers.
- Acts as a liaison between the Construction Supervisor, M/I Title, M/I Financial, Outside Lenders, Realtors, and homebuyers relative to pre-settlement and closing information.
- Schedules, organizes, and monitors pre-settlement dates and closing appointments; coordinates such with appropriate internal departments as well as with attorneys and mortgage companies. Provides updated home statuses to include changes in scheduling, etc.
- Send out closing letters.
- Verifies home buyer deposits and final purchase price to complete seller's figures. Approves Closing statements/HUD statements.
- Fill out FHA/VA required documents.
- Generate Escrow Letters for any closings with exterior items not completed at time of closing.
- Maintain house and mailbox keys.
- Work with outside title companies when applicable.
- Order finals on utilities for homes prior to close.
- Generate and distribute weekly projected report for closing meeting.
- Generate and distribute monthly reports.
- Performs additional assignments as requested by supervisor.
- Creates physical closing folders and closing packages.
- General office and administrative skills to assist in the processing of departmental workflow.
- Customer-service oriented with professional and courteous attitude.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization; good organizational skills and detail-oriented aptitude.
- General computer knowledge including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.
- JDE experience preferred.

Job Summary:
Compiles, reviews, analyzes, and verifies sales documents. Obtains, reviews, and verifies necessary closing documents for residential single-family and multi-family homebuyers to coordinate and ensure timely and accurate completion of scheduled homebuyer closings.

Minimum Education Experience:
High school graduate with basic academic and practical skills gained through school curriculum combined with at least 2-3 years of related work experience and/or training; general knowledge of home building industry within the scope of sales contracts and the understanding of closing procedures and practices.
