    Sr Coordinator, Business & Legal Affairs

    Reports to: EVP, Business & Legal Affairs

    Location: Nashville, TN, Hybrid

    Schedule: M-F, 9am-6pm

    Full-Time | Salary | Non-Exempt

    Job Summary:

    The Senior Coordinator, Business & Legal Affairs is responsible for providing support to the legal and business affairs team in various aspects of contract management, rights administration, licensing, and general legal compliance within the music industry.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide administrative support to the legal and business affairs team, including organizing documents, maintaining legal files, routing agreements for internal approvals, and managing correspondence.
    • Support the acquisition, documentation, and maintenance of intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, and other related rights. Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with copyright laws.
    • Prepare Producer, Engineer, and Mixer Decs and email to appropriate parties requesting signature. Ensure compliant and organized tracking and organization of files.
    • Review producer agreements and letters of direction.
    • Prepare form-based agreements for Marketing and Creative departments (e.g., influencer agreement, photo/video agreements).
    • Register label releases with U.S. Copyright Office.
    • Assist with A&R Admin Accounts Payable processes, including but not limited to, providing invoice instructions to external business partners, collecting W-9s for bp account set up, collecting ACH Vendor Request Forms for bp direct deposit set up, and troubleshooting bp payment issues with finance staff.
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Monitor changes in legal requirements and industry practices and update internal processes accordingly.
    • Coordinate various projects and initiatives within the business and legal affairs department. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental objectives and deadlines.

    Required Experience:

    • 1-2 years of work experience in a legal or business affairs role, preferably within the music industry or entertainment sector.
    • Basic understanding of contract law, intellectual property rights, and music industry practices.

    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to thrive and be positive in a fast-paced environment.

    Education:

    Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, Music Business, or a related field preferred.

    None.

    Travel Required:

    0-10%
