    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities


    The On-Call Event Staff Runner performs a variety of responsibilities based on the needs of the operation and to support peak business periods.

    The Event Runner will work mostly in the evenings and weekends as well as occasional days and extended hours to transport Artists as well as show/event personnel locally, run various errands, and perform various tasks as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Tour Management.

    This position requires the ability to drive a standard vehicle as well as a Passenger/Sprinter van or equivalent and will have sufficient hospitality experience, education, and/or job knowledge to meet business needs as well as possess strong organizational and time management skills to function effectively under time constraints with particular attention to detail.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Must be available to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Must be able to work long hours.
    • Must be able and comfortable driving a standard vehicle and/or passenger/sprinter van.
    • Must provide DMV driving history printout.
    • Candidates are subject to background investigation.
    • Must perform duties according to our company's safety guidelines.
    • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to kneel, stand, or walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to bend at the waist and to lift items overhead.
    • Effectively uses proper etiquette according to our company standards when communicating with others and on the phone/radio.
    • Desire to work as a team player and assist when and where needed.
    • Exhibit a professional appearance.
    • Performs related duties as required/assigned by supervisor.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to follow oral instructions and read written instructions.
    • Assist with maintaining the highest standards of venue and vehicle cleanliness and order.
    • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
    Required Education, and Experience


    • High school diploma or GED required
    • 3 or years' experience in the hospitality industry (banquets, event staff, valet, security, limousine driver), or related theater experience
    • Detail-oriented, with considerable attention to order.
    • Work well within teams.
    • Perform heavy physical labor as needed, indoors and outdoors.

    Computer Skills


    • Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, databases, detailed spreadsheets, and the internet.
    • Experience working with SocialTables and EventBooking/VenueOps is helpful.

    • Perform heavy physical labor as needed, indoors and outdoors

    • Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor field environment, exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions.
    • This position will require sitting for long periods, as well as frequent standing, bending, and walking, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.
    • Must be able to move, carry, or lift up to 50lbs.
    • Ability to bend at the waist and lift items overhead
    • This position could be exposed to loud noises, various forms of lighting including strobe, frequent phone conversations, and requires average to above average visual acuity and hearing.
    • Must be able to drive a vehicle when necessary.

    The hourly rate for this on-call position is $17.00 plus retirement benefits.
