    Senior Accountant – Inventory & Trade Compliance – Dallas, Texas (Hybrid 3/2)
    A key Z Firm client is looking for a Sr. Accountant – Inventory & Trade Compliance to manage the import & export regulations with US. And Canadian customs and serve as primary contact with customs brokers.

    This person will also serve as backup for the Inventory Accountant and participate in and support the month end close process.


    Responsibilities:
    ·

    Manage the compliance with state and federal authorities, import and export regulations with U.S.

    and Canadian customs, adherence to applicable financial accounting standards and ensuring the company operates within a strong internal control environment.

    ·


    Work to ensure the company remains in compliance with all regulations, mitigating potential liabilities and helps avoid penalties, sanctions or other legal punishment.

    ·

    Help create, implement, enforce and maintain organizational policies, standards and procedures to comply with applicable regulations.
    ·


    Maintain open lines of communication with all relevant parties to keep everyone informed of regulatory changes and the impact these have on the business.

    ·

    Assist in other areas of accounting and specifically, the backup for the inventory accountant.

    Qualifications:
    ·

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
    ·

    Strong accounting, analytical and interpretive skills
    ·

    Strong analytical and organizational skills to oversee and balance work assignments
