    Description

    Monroe Capital is seeing a Credit Compliance Associate to join our team.

    Requirements

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist credit team with creation and proper maintenance of consistent credit files
    • Assist underwriters with the administrative functions of the new deal and amendment closing processes, as well as, track payoff information and documentation.
    • Coordinate the KYC process with internal and external parties for all new underwritings
    • Responsible for maintaining list and clearing all post-closing items within Monroes portfolio monitoring system, assisting the credit team with follow-up with outside legal counsel and/or borrowers, monitoring receipt and electronic filing of post-closing items
    • Act as a liaison with third party vendor and coordinate tracking and renewing insurance certificates
    • Process/track legal boxes with original legal documents and maintain safe keeping for documents both internally and with custodians (stock certificates and original notes)
    • Track UCC-1 filings and coordinate with outside legal counsel to ensure timely filing of updated UCC-3s across the Monroe portfolio
    • Track and report on status of site visits and assist underwriters in monitoring performance-based pricing grids
    • Create and maintain a matrix for important milestones on amendments, unusual and/or deferred fee arrangements and document restructurings to assist with tracking and proactively addressing upcoming credit action points
    • Coordinate and manage annual third-party credit file review and assist with audit-related requests pertaining to audits of our borrowers, audits of the funds managed by Monroe and specialized regulatory audits
    • Provide other administrative support to the credit team as needed
    • Assist with special projects upon request

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in operations, compliance, internal audit or as a paralegal (experience with a direct lender or a bank is preferred)
    • Experience organizing and working with legal documents in a business setting
    • Ability to multi-task, handle unanticipated situations effectively, and work well under pressure with tight deadlines
    • Professional and effective written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail
    • Highly organized self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
