    Description
    At DANIELLS PHILLIPS VAUGHAN & BOCK, our Accounting Services Associates work with large and small companies in various industries. They develop strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Provide accounting related services to our clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger and monthly, quarterly and year end reporting
    • Provide team with basic support to accomplish client deliverables
    • Prepare client statements and reports for next level review
    • Proactively communicate status of work, ask timely questions and seek clarity from lead on client engagement when needed in order to keep work progressing
    • Answer basic accounting and software questions, escalating as needed
    • Prepare 1099's, 571's, sales tax returns and other government reporting
    • Meet client service expectations through adhering to quality and timely client deliverables, and meeting time budget expectations
    • Responsive to questions/concerns from team members and clients (internal and/or external) and promptly communicate roadblocks and inefficiencies as they arise.
    • Stay current with updates and improvements on applicable technology platforms and obtain certifications as directed by supervisor
    • Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively and with a sense of urgency in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred. Experience in lieu of a degree may be accepted.
    • Two (2) years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field desired. Professional services experience a plus.
    • Knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping and payroll principles related to bookkeeping, payroll and accounting payable/receivable principles
    • Experience in QuickBooks, Pro Advisor Certification is a plus
    • Experience and knowledge working within MS Office Suite
    • Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving
    • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred

    What we offer:
    The hourly pay range for this job in this market is $22 - $28 per hour with paid overtime.

    The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, prior public accounting experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.

    The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation. Beyond income, we offer a competitive wage and benefits package that includes health/dental/vision insurance and 401k Plan.
