POSITION OVERVIEW FOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
Agilitech is seeking a highly motivated Product Development Associate.

Product Development Associate works closely with Biotech team members to develop in all aspect of customer project and production and contribute collaboratively to all Biotech Team projects and directives.

This individual will perform process development studies and technical support for GMP manufacturing operations to manufacture quality final product.

This individual will provide essential services to ensure that products are developed, manufactured and distributed to the highest standards, in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

  • Requires process knowledge of our various unit operations as well as familiarity with industrial control systems such as Rockwell Factory Talk, Emerson Delta V, and Inductive Automation Ignition.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Accustomed to working in a team environment, and taking initiative in a demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selections, and product testing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability with writing project documentation and assist in Product Binders as assigned by Director Product Development.
  • Knowledge of outlining and documenting functional product specifications including equipment operational ranges, operational sequence steps, methods, and subassembly configurations.
  • Knowledge of outlining operational process parameters for equipment that will be used for FAT, SAT and customer protocols.
  • Ability to participate in FAT and SAT testing and IQ/OQ logistics as directed.
  • Assist in equipment assembly, commissioning and FAT and SAT execution.
  • Assists the Biotech Team in resolving product development or production difficulties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

OCCUPATIONAL COMPETENCIES FOR
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

  • Able to prioritize own work and work for others.
  • Assist customer liaison activities as it pertains to ensuring fidelity of customer specifications, requests and inquiries on all projects.
  • Contribute as directed on project supportive activities including procurement and vendor relations.
  • Drafts product designs according to customer client, or company specifications.
  • Tests prototypes to verify product reliability. Make adjustments as required.
  • Performs all skills required of all job classifications, below current classification
  • Proficiency with manual and CAD digital drawing, sketching, and design a plus.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:


PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

  • Bachelor's degree in biotechnology Process Engineering or related field required.
  • Five years of work experience as a bioprocess production technician or related required.
  • Experience in technology transfer from development into cGMP Manufacturing.
  • Must have a background with demonstrated technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and collaboration with others.
  • Familiarity with singleuse processes and concepts a plus.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
