    What is your role?

    As a Client Optimization Engineer for Eleventh Hour Games, you will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks across various aspects of our game, including code, shaders, draw calls, user interface, and components. We are seeking a highly skilled Client Optimization Engineer to join our team and take charge of optimizing our video game. If you are passionate about ensuring an optimal gaming experience for our players and possess expertise in Unity and C#, we want to hear from you

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of professional experience in a similar role writing tools
    • Strong proficiency in Unity game engine and C# programming language
    • Experience in optimizing games for consoles - both Linux and Windows
    • Experience in developing GPU Particle Systems, Occlusion culling & custom solutions, unifying screen space effects
    • Strong understanding of draw calls and rendering paths
    • Familiarity with profiling tools and techniques to identify performance bottlenecks
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including artists, designers, and programmers

    Responsibilities:

    • Investigate and analyze performance bottlenecks in the game across various aspects, including code, shaders, draw calls, user interface, animation and Unity's animator system, GPU particle systems and components
    • Develop and implement optimization strategies to achieve smooth gameplay at 60 frames per second on 1440p resolution
    • Collaborate with the development and art team to prioritize and address performance-related tasks
    • Utilize profiling tools to measure and monitor performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
    • Optimize asset loading and memory management to enhance overall performance and reduce load times
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in game optimization techniques, recommending improvements as necessary
    • Document optimization techniques and best practices for knowledge sharing within the team
