- Plan transportation arrangements for patients, including incoming cases.
- Transport patients and goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Research and prepare for potential traffic, weather, and construction delays.
- Utilize navigation tools to determine optimal routes.
- Observe and report clients' behavior to the Supervisor and Clinical Team.
- Comply with state and local driving laws and regulations.
- Maintain a quiet environment in the vehicle for heightened awareness.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and prepared for service.
- Promptly report any vehicle issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain up-to-date transportation logs and submit required paperwork on time.
- Portray a positive and professional image through appearance and communication.
- Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
- Offer personalized support, guidance, and coaching.
- Provide training on personal and community resources.
- Assist in establishing community support systems.
- Help clients expand their social support networks.
- Collaborate with other providers, family members, or involved parties in the client's recovery journey.
- Participate in staff meetings, Case Conferences, and Supervision sessions.
- Meet expected productivity standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of clinical information internally and externally.
- Perform any other relevant duties as necessary.
- Hold a Certified Peer Counselor training/exam certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum of 1 year of sobriety (if in recovery).
- Preferably previous experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment.
- Experience in service-oriented roles is advantageous.
- First Aid, CPR, AED certification within 30 days of employment.
- De-escalation/restraint technique certification within 90 days.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation.
- Previous or current user of mental health or substance abuse services.
- Understanding of the recovery process for mental health and addictions.

- Washington State Certified Peer required.
- Apply for a WA Department of Health, Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential within 30 days of hire.

The Transportation Worker / Peer Support Specialist is responsible for organizing transportation services for Prosperity patients and offering peer support as part of a team assisting individuals dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring issues. The main focus is to help clients improve their path to recovery.
