    Summary: As a Senior Business Analyst at Capital One, you will utilize your strategic and analytical skills to tackle major company challenges. You will collaborate with top-notch professionals to create and test strategies that have a direct impact on the company's financial performance. All of this will take place in an environment that values your insights, encourages you to take on new challenges, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for enhancement through analysis to provide strategic or tactical recommendations
    • Product: Conduct modeling and analytics to support the development of new product and pricing strategies for various lending products
    • Marketing: Assist in direct-to-consumer marketing initiatives for specific products and contribute to the strategic direction for products distributed through the retail channel. Contribute to creating targeted insights for the design of new customer experiences, as well as innovative technology and concepts aimed at implementing new go-to-market strategies
    • Credit Risk: Support significant advancements in credit performance by linking future consumer credit trends to past behavior, building risk models, and testing hypotheses through rigorous monitoring and analysis
    • Execution: Engage in problem solving, hypothesis development, testing, solution creation, operational feasibility assessment, lead implementation efforts, and establish a monitoring strategy
    • Partnership: Collaborate closely with team members across Capital One, including IT, Sales, Operations, and Finance, to drive enhancements in quality, volume, service, and profitability
    • Strategic & Analytical Orientation: Demonstrate a track record of decision-making and problem-solving guided by analytics. Critical thinking abilities should be complemented by a strong quantitative mindset, as analytics play a crucial role in marketing and credit risk management
    • Strong Business Judgment, Leadership, and Integrity: Exhibit strong decision-making skills and bring a balanced, assertive, and ethical approach to business
    • Strong Communication Skills: Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strategic influencing abilities to drive consensus through intellect, interpersonal interactions, and negotiation tactics
    • Clear Results Orientation: Maintain a strong focus on achieving short and long-term objectives. The ability to lead and execute initiatives in an ambiguous and dynamic environment is essential
    • Successful Track Record in a Fast-Paced Environment: Demonstrate a history of thriving in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting. Prior experience in consulting is advantageous

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
    • At least 1 year of experience in analysis

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
    • 1+ years of experience in Statistical model building
    • 1+ years of experience in market research
    • 1+ years of experience in SQL querying
    • 2+ years of experience in business analysis
    • 1+ years of experience in consulting
