**COMPANY DESCRIPTION**

Founded in 2016, Checkerspot is a high-performance materials company that designs materials at a molecular level. We do this by optimizing microbes to bio manufacture unique structural oils discovered in nature, but not previously accessible commercially. Our first materials are next generation polyurethanes and textile coatings/finishes designed to improve the performance of consumer products.

Our mission is to expand the palette of molecular building blocks for high performance and sustainable materials. Our vision is one of empowerment: to deliver unique, inspiring technologies and materials into the creative hands of fabricators and designers, the makers that conceive the next generation of high-performance products.

Contrived out of Checkerspots mission to create high performing AND sustainable products, WNDR Alpine was born. The brand, under the Checkerspot umbrella, was founded in Salt Lake City in the summer of 2019. Its focus is to validate applications in outdoor hard goods with Checkerspots unique bio based polyurethanes derived from microalgae, purpose-built for both the ascent and descent.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for a dedicated and personable outdoors person who exudes passion, charisma and intelligence. This role will be on the consumer facing front lines of the brand, both physically and virtually. This position will be seated at the entrance to our new building located just north of Harvey Milk Blvd (900 South) on 500 West that will be home to our WNDR Alpine showroom and admin HQ. Were searching for someone that can greet guests with enthusiasm in a welcoming nature; someone that resonates sincerity and a personable demeanor. Its also essential that you are a team player and hard worker, as we are a cohesive family working in a fast-paced environment.

**KEY CSR REQUIREMENTS**

Thrives on closing a sale

3-5 years retail experience

Depth of knowledge around winter sports and related sporting good trends

**KEY SHOWROOM RESPONSIBILITIES**

Seated in showroom during operating hours and available to greet walk in consumers in need of sales and/or service

Ensure all customers are provided insights to our biotechnology and guidance towards the products and materials we make in a kind and professional manner

Manage phone lines, voicemails and Live Chat

Take orders and receive payment via POS system

Manage cash drawer

Track inventory

Maintain an organized and clean workplace and store front

Support picking and packing online orders when needed
