- Monitoring legislation, regulation, and compliance matters that could impact the business.
- Providing treatment and support of operational regulatory issues in cooperation with HQ.
- Providing timely notice to all necessary parties to regulatory and statutory changes.
- Minimizing risk exposure and ensure adherence with regulatory standards by working with all internal functions to make sure compliance programs are properly implemented.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining internal policies and procedures in relation to regulatory and compliance matters in accordance with local and international best practices.
- Providing training programs for regulatory areas and assisting preparation of training contents.
- Conducting internal audits/investigations on a regular or ad hoc basis to ensure all required compliance programs are appropriately implemented.
- Supporting various departments by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data with relevant departments.
- Supporting Legal Counsel in providing the following legal support to the business:
- Minimum of 1 yr. experience in a Compliance role (essential).
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Korean language skill is required.

Primary Duties:
This position supports the Legal Team in essential regulatory and compliance matters, including but not limited to, research of applicable laws and regulations and coordination of the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents to ensure all required documents satisfy federal, state, and local government requirements, including but not limited to employment, environment, privacy laws and regulations. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring of compliance controls, procedures, and operational processes.
Responsibilities:
Drafting, reviewing and if needed, assisting in negotiating general and commercial agreements.
Drafting and reviewing documents required for corporate transactions.
Providing legal advice relating to the business, including but not limited to labor & employment law, immigration law, antitrust law, commercial law, intellectual property, and product liability.
Managing investigations, litigations, and disputes.
Providing and supervise legal training to internal clients.

The work environment is a non-smoking office environment. No heavy lifting required. Mostly sitting with computer and phone usage. Accommodations can be made for handicapped employee. Travel only on an "as needed" basis.
