- Facilitate risk management activities including loss control and prevention.
- Review daily MIDAS risk events and refer to leadership as needed.
- Direct investigations and reporting of events.
- Conduct causal analysis investigations and guide corrective action planning.
- Collect, evaluate, and distribute data on patient events; present quarterly reports to multidisciplinary groups.
- Develop and implement educational materials on risk management for leadership, medical staff, and department personnel.
- Recommend revisions to policies and procedures to adhere to current standards and mitigate risks.
- Conduct surveys and studies for long-term planning and policy/system changes.
- Support liability claims and risk financing.
- Participate in evaluation of claims for settlement or risk adjustment.
- Coordinate the renewal of insurance policies and maintain related documentation.
- Organize and supervise compliance site visits and audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Certification (CPHRM) required within 3 years of employment.
- 4-8 years of experience in risk management preferred; RN or legal experience is a plus.
