    Job Description and Responsibilities

    As a product marketing director at Visa, you will be the glue that binds our product strategy to the strategy and tactics needed to drive commercial success, ultimately delivering measurable outcomes.

    You will be an evangelist of Visas products and solutions to our customers, and you will play an integral role in the lifecycle of Visas product and solutions portfolio.

    You will be expected to work cross-functionally to develop a deep understanding of our audiences, solutions and use cases, including:

    • Knowing and understanding our clients better than they know themselves, including what they need and how they make their buying decisions
    • Having extensive insights on our competitors, what they are doing today and where they are going in the future
    • Developing a deep understanding of market dynamics - including consumer needs and trends

    In collaboration with our global and regional marketing and communications teams, you will lead accountability for building comprehensive, data-driven marketing programs that drive awareness, interest, and demand, and implementing those programs in partnership with regional Product, Sales, Marketing and Communication teams.

    Attention to detail and eye for quality are critical to your success and are imperative in your ability to represent the brand in everything from product development and design to communications.

    Further, you will take a leading role in defining how we will measure progress in this area, partnering with both business partners and the Insights & Analytics teams to define and initiate measurement disciplines.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Yoi will lead development of marketing strategies, working closely with all regional and global teams to engage our clients and deliver against Visas business and marketing goals
    • Be the expert on our buyers, and their advocate inside Visa who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria and then synthesizing the deep insights to develop value propositions and messaging
    • You will develop marketing that frames value propositions, sets forth positioning and messaging, and activation strategies
    • You will direct and manage agencies to accomplish strategic marketing projects to support the business
    • Partner with Communications and Regional teams to identify & pursue priority opportunities to support the growth of our Buyer and Seller Solutions
    • You will work closely with internal stakeholders to align on shared strategy and approach to educating decision makers and influencers. Build supporting marketing collateral to enable those plans.
    • Partner with our marketing and communication teams to position Visa as a leader in the payments industry
    • You will continuously review market landscape and recommend, develop, and implement new creative approaches to growing the Visa business
    • Be a Visa brand advocate, working across Brand, Product, UX/UI and sales teams to develop and integrate prominent Visa branding that enhances the customer experience and helps drive attribution back to Visa for helping deliver the experience
    • You will develop sales enablement and audience educational content to support Visa regional sales and partners sales teams

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA) with focus in the field of product marketing.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 10-12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
    • 8+ years progressively responsible business experience in Product Marketing, ideally related to payments technology
    • You are a strong strategic thinker with a results orientation who approaches any challenge with thoughtfulness, drive, and urgency
    • You are customer-focused mindset, with a demonstrated track record of discovering key insights and using them to advance business outcomes
    • Strong executive presence with highly effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present with impact
    • Global sensibilities and an empathetic outlook to work well with other markets and cultures around the world
    • Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Solid financial and analytical acumen with strong ROI orientation
    • Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism and with demonstrated trouble shooting / problem solving skills.

    Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
