    Front Desk Manager - Columbus, United States - Valley Hospitality

    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage reservations and assist guests with inquiries related to room features, property amenities, services, and local attractions.
    • Ensure efficient check-in and check-out processes for all guests.
    • Monitor VIP/Special Guests requests and maintain communication between the front desk team and the general manager.
    • Keep agents informed about current rates, packages, and promotions.
    • Provide training on payment methods and ensure payroll accuracy.
    • Handle messages, packages, and mail promptly and professionally.
    • Complete tasks according to checklist and share relevant information with departments.
    • Adhere to standards and regulations for a safe and smooth hotel operation.
    • Oversee training for new and current employees, emphasizing professional appearance and conduct.
    • Participate in meetings and training sessions as needed.
    • Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum age of 18 years.
    • Prior experience in Hotel Hospitality.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) is a plus.
    • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to handle pressure and stressful situations calmly.
    • Strong mathematical skills for payment processing.
    • Successful background check and drug screening.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
    • Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 10-25 lbs.
