    Description

    Property Management firm is looking for an accountant to focus on preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Prior experience with Yardi is required.

    • Maintain general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable; prepare fixed assist depreciation and accruals.
    • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements; maintain the general ledger.
    • Reconcile general and subsidiary bank accounts, cash disbursement accounts, payroll, and customer accounts.
    • Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
    • Determine proper handling of financial transactions and approve transactions within designated limits.
    • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
    • Provide outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree, and 2 years of experience in accounting analysis and reporting, preferably in property management/ real-estate, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets or related accounting software.
    • Yardi experience is required
