Overview:

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

I. General Responsibilities

  • Manage frontend admin. office
  • Develop, execute, and monitor daily routines
  • Train, Schedule, and Supervise parttime staff: Teachers, Tutors, Teacher's Assistants
  • Instruct students and review student report cards and ensure academic achievement
  • Support and implement objectives of School-Connection
  • Participate in marketing activities to help business growth

II. Duties and Responsibilities

A. Supervision

  • Directly supervise Teachers, Tutors, Teacher's Assistants, Office Assistant, and Office Managers
  • Oversee selection, training, and evaluation of Teachers, Tutors, Teacher's Assistants and Office Assistant/Managers
  • Coordinate staff evaluations
  • Conduct staff meetings and regular oneonone meetings with Teachers
  • Oversee daytoday operations to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Problem solve and critical thinking skills

B. Training

  • Develop and coordinate meetings/workshops for Fall and Summer training
  • Continuously coach staff in all areas related to educational setting

C. Administration

  • Participate in decisionmaking regarding policies, procedures, programs and facilities
  • Coordinate and perform a variety of administrative duties, work independently, and follow projects through to completion
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information to parents
  • Maintain regular office hours
  • Manage budget for training, supplies, and other expenses
  • Replenish any supplies needed for operations from Costco, Walmart, etc.
  • Serve as communication link between the Director and the staff
  • Inform the Director about critical issues/concerns in any areas
  • Utilize department computer systems/programs and attend computer training sessions as deemed appropriate
  • Prepare payroll reports to CPA and complete biweekly payroll for staff
  • Attend necessary public school meetings

D. Education

  • Work cooperatively with the Director to ensure an active and varied program of educational, academic, cultural/diversity, safety/security, recreational activities
  • Assess the needs of all students and develop goals to meet identified needs
  • Present educational programs to parents
  • Provide education resources to staff and students

E. Facilities

  • Plan renovations with the Director
  • Coordinate area maintenance requests/operations
  • Tour facilities on a regular basis to identify facilities' needs
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with the Housekeeping Supervisor

F. Other Duties

  • Respond to emergencies and provide guidance in crisis situations
  • Monitor student and staff activities, making efforts to get to know students' academic activities and maintain a high level of visibility
  • Assume Director responsibilities when the Director is offduty
  • Provide staff recognition to the Director
  • Attend weekly management meetings
  • Complete fall and summer assignments (referring to fall and summer job checklist)
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director

IV. Minimum Experience/Education

  • Must have a 4 year degree to qualify. Background in working with children is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in management, customer service, sales, or education is preferred
  • Possess effective interpersonal, problemsolving, decisionmaking, and public relations skills
  • Possess an understanding and appreciation for education
  • Possess the ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Skilled in coordination and preparation of events
  • Selfstarters, motivated teamplayer, detailoriented, and able to work with deadlines in a fast paced work environment that requires high levels of focus and self motivation
  • Valid state drivers license and access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality with students and staff
  • Hardworking, resourceful, fast learner, responsible, organized, detailed oriented and able to multitask
  • Good communication skills
  • Patient, firm, and caring
  • Bilingual (English & Chinese) a plus
