Accountant who will assist us in continuing to provide a positive and supportive work environment.

This position is responsible for organizing, conducting, reviewing, and evaluating the work on engagements that provide services in general accounting, individual and business tax planning and compliance, preparation of sales, and property tax returns to firm clients, due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, pre

  • IPO preparations, human resources and administrative supports.

_A successful Accountant combines good personality, great integrity, excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. You should be reliable and good at Excel and QuickBooks, and be able to communicate effectively with senior management and various departments. We also want you to be detail-oriented, and possess sharp business acumen._

Essential Duties:


  • Perform all essential duties of a Senior Accountant and/or In-Charge Accountant in Client Service.
  • Perform all aspects of client fieldwork relating to accounting engagements under the direct supervision of senior team members and above.
  • Possess a general understanding of various services the firm provides and articulate them to clients.
  • Perform monthend and yearend close process for clients.
  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital to prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports that summarize current and projected company financial position.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and trial balance.
  • Prepare writeup, compilations, and financial statements.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Research simple tax questions. Assist with moderate tax questions.
  • Prepare simple to moderate individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary and nonprofit federal, state, or local tax returns.
  • Prepare consolidated/unitary corporate and other multistate returns.
  • Prepare payroll, sales, and property tax returns.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct frequent internal communication to insure that owner or manager in charge, supervisor, and subordinates are informed of job status, problems, and additional service opportunities.
  • Develop oneonone relationships with key client employees and become the main source of client interaction throughout the year for assigned engagements.
  • Develop a personal network to assist the firm in achieving practice development and marketing goals by identifying new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related
  • 3+ years' experience in accounting in a public accounting environment or 5+ years of general accounting experience
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organizations, demonstrating a high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy
  • The ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas, and the courage to be open and receptive to feedback
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced, timesensitive and multiple deadlines workplace while maintaining a spirit of ownership and collaboration
  • Proven ability to develop effective relations with clients, as well as team members
  • Excellent organizational, problems solving, and planning skills
