- Develop and implement strategic sales plans, complete with processes and best practices, to achieve company revenue targets and expand market share in the merchant processing industry.
- Train, lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales goals.
- Develop scripts, hooks, and messaging allowing your sales team to most effectively reach out and communicate with leads and prospects.
- Identify emerging market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for product innovation, and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership to drive business growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, customer support, underwriting / risk and other departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to inform decision-making and continuously improve sales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ownership-minded focus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales leadership roles within the merchant processing or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, driving revenue growth, and building high-performing sales teams.
- Fundamental understanding of merchant processing products and services, including payment processing, point-of-sale (POS) systems, mobile payments, and e-commerce solutions.
- Deep knowledge of the sales process, techniques, and practices.
- Ability to train, guide and develop sales reps.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to interpret sales data, market research, and financial metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
