- Maintain the SQF Manual, its contents and support the development of necessary procedures and processes.

- Act as primary contact for SQF Food Safety/QMS and Customer Audits Manage and execute daily QC responsibilities including work priority, test accuracy, process efficiency, data communication and staff performance to assure product quality, timely material release and customer satisfaction. Maintain calibration logs for each piece of equipment showing frequency, method, sign offs. Organize and oversee internal audit and corrective action programs to assure ongoing compliance to food GMP regulations (21 CFR 110), 3 rd party quality and food safety certification requirements. Assures raw materials and finished products meet established specifications and meets customer - based reporting requirements. Ensures timely disposition of incoming raw materials, kits, and finished products. Works closely with production managers and operators to ensure efficient operation. Provides run packets in a timely manner. Provide support during new product scale up trials. This includes updating parameters, monitoring trials, and providing analysis. Provides run packets in a timely manner. Provides quality inputs into the scheduling process. Manages calibration of laboratory equipment and instrumentation. As the SQF Site Practitioner, the Quality Manager is responsible for approving, as applicable, site HACCP amendments which have been dually reviewed and approved by the site HACCP Team and as applicable the Corporate HACCP Coordinator.

- Based on subjective and objective results, able to recognize trends that may impact product quality, supplier performance, or Symrise operational performance
- Excellent working knowledge of food safety, food microbiological and testing procedures
- Excellent knowledge and proficiency in computer skills; SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and applicable QC instrument software systemsFunctional knowledge and leadership in SQF, ISO9001, HACCP, Food Safety, GLP and GMP-Excellent managerial and leadership skills; able to lead, develop and motivate staff to ensure continuous improvement of personnel and systems
