    Establish and ensure continuous improvement toward the defect-free processes that meet or exceed customer needs in the supported plant.

    Responsible for the overall assessment and improvement of the people capabilities, processes, and tools that are critical to the Quality Assurance programs.

    Lead the resolution and follow-up of quality issues with internal and external customers and suppliers.

    Utilize Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) to systematically integrate statistical tools into the Product Proceeding Technology process in order to implement enterprise-wide quality, improvement and reduce variation and meet Voice of the Customer requirements.

    Utilize Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools in the process of identifying, selecting, tracking and assessing the success of projects and initiatives to meet design quality standards.

    Develop, implement, and maintain the manufacturing plant quality system, collaborate with plant management and line leaders to develop strategic quality business goals and objectives and lead the plant quality function toward achievement of objectives.

    Utilize AIAG Core Tools Expectation to support the ISO/TS 16949 automotive preferred quality system and deliver satisfactory product quality.

    Assess product quality, establish and maintain quality assurance standards, procedures, and controls, utilizing Oracle ERP as the standard tool in order to manage manufacturing processes and perform quality traceability.

    Manage the practice and application of quality system standards required by international certification bodies, industry regulatory authorities and customer contractual requirements.

    Selects and prioritizes continuous improvement projects in assigned plant areas.

    Utilize manufacturing process auditing and quality assessment knowledge to lead assessments focused on processes critical to customer and business success.

    Mentor teams focused on quality levels or defect levels via project completion and implementation. Assess team developmental needs and provide opportunities as they relate to the needs of the business. Organize post-implementation exercises to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.

    Utilize problem solving and quality improvement skills to implement approaches including understanding of engine manufacturing tools and process type selection and corrective and preventative actions.

    Work in support of high voltage battery assembly and electric vehicle powertrain manufacturing, including safe handling and shipping requirements of lithium ion batteries.


    QualificationsSkillsExperience and Education:


    Positions require a Masters degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Quality, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineer, or related position.

    Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Quality, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineer, or related position.


    Experience to include:

    Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) to implement enterprise-wide quality, improvement and variation reduction; Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools to meet design quality standards and Voice of the Customer requirements; Develop, implement, and maintain the manufacturing plant quality system; AIAG Core Tools Expectation; ISO/TS 16949; Quality assurance standards, procedures, and controls; Quality System Management; Manufacturing process auditing and quality assessment; Manufacturing tools and process type selection.
