    About the role:


    Known's Finance team is looking for a seasoned Tax Manager to be the owner and subject matter expert for all things tax across the company.

    This position will report directly to the VP, Controller.


    WHAT YOU'LL DO
    Prepare and review quarterly income tax estimates and partner distributions

    Prepare and review year end tax calculations for financial statement reporting

    Work closely with external tax compliance preparers to provide required information, review, and file income tax returns on a timely basis

    Manage compilation of data for annual R&D credit

    Oversee indirect tax compliance including review of requirements, preparation and review of workpapers and filings

    Model and evaluate tax implications of potential transactions

    Work collaboratively with Known business functions (Accounting, FP&A, Legal, HR, etc.)

    Manage tax audits, draft responses to inquiries, and analyze audit calculations and workpapers


    WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE
    A degree from a well-regarded college or university

    5-7 years experience in partnership tax; big 4 preferred

    A willingness to learn foundational knowledge and skills rapidly

    Must be based in NYC area; hybrid schedule

    Self-starter, able to pivot in an evolving environment where strong organizational, communication and analytical skills are essential

    Ability to discuss and explain tax calculations and implications to equity partners in clear and concise way

    The base salary for this position is $115K - $120K.

    This range is posted in compliance with state and municipal Pay Transparency laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to receive additional Known benefits.
