    Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International, Inc. (ATL) has partnered with Navarro Research and Engineering, inc. to form Hanford Laboratories and Management Integration (HLMI).

    We are seeking applicants for Analytical Services Manager at the 222-S Laboratory, a DOE laboratory specializing in the analysis of highly radioactive samples.

    Work location is primarily at the 222-S laboratory facility in the 200W Area of the Hanford Site, with option to work remotely on occasion.


    Responsibilities:
    The Analytical Services Manager provides analytical project management and client services and is accountable to the Analytical Operations Director.

    This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Ensures that Analytical Line-Managers are provided with project technical requirements and that report delivery commitments are achieved
    • Works with clients to develop and maintain project Data Quality Objectives (DQO) and Sample Analysis Plans (SAP)
    • Support the development and updating of annual Service Level Agreements (SLA) with clients
    • Coordinates with Analytical Control and clients to make project deliverable commitments within the organization's capacity
    • Coordinates with clients and laboratory facility operations to receive or ship samples
    • Provides clients with project status and resolves project issues
    • Brokers suitable samples to off-site laboratories
    • Manages the life cycle of sample aliquots, including the archival and/or return to clients after project completion
    • Supports the Procurement department with the development and maintenance of off-site lab contracts and inter-contractor work orders
    • Manages the team of Project Coordinators and Sample Custodians
    • Provides leadership, vision, and motivation in directing the work group's
    activities

    In addition to working with the HLMI management team, the candidate will interface with chemists, engineers, DOE, and the public.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum of a BS in Chemistry or related science and 12 years of Analytical laboratory experience
    • Candidate will be a proficient user of Microsoft Office programs (particularly
    Word and Excel).


    Preferred:

    • BS in Chemistry or related science and 15 years of Analytical laboratory experience
    • Project Management/Coordinator experience
    • Knowledgeable user of LIMS systems
