    About the job:

    The Small Business Credit Analyst I plays a crucial role in evaluating loan applications by analyzing commercial and consumer bureaus to determine the creditworthiness of potential borrowers. They make recommendations, approve or decline credit requests, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review loan applications and perform underwriting activities to assess risk.
    • Determine credit limits, terms, and interest rates based on risk assessment.
    • Communicate outcomes to dealers and follow up to secure business.
    • Maintain confidentiality of personal information.
    • Other assigned duties.

    Requirements and Skills:

    • Minimum 1 year of auto finance experience.
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and underwriting principles.
    • Proficient in financial data analysis and modeling.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • MS Office proficiency.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to make decisions based on thorough evaluation.
    • Knowledge of industry-specific tools like DnB and Experian.

    Additional Details:

    • Overtime may be required as needed.
    • Travel required occasionally.
    • Must have reliable transportation and live close to Dallas, TX.

    Physical Demands:

    Sitting for long periods, standing, walking, close vision for computer work, speaking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
