    Purpose and Job Summary

    Signal Peak Capital Management ("SPCM") is a credit focused asset management team of ORIX Advisers, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ORIX Corporation USA. SPCM currently manages approximately $5.2 billion of leveraged loans and structured credit assets across various collateralized loan obligations and other investment vehicles.

    SPCM is seeking a Credit Analyst to assist Senior Credit Analysts in conducting research on potential new investments as well as monitoring existing leveraged loan positions. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and performance-driven environment. The position will be based in Dallas, Texas and will report to a Managing Director and Co-Head of Research.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    • Gathering and modeling historical financial data
    • Projecting future financial performance
    • Performing relative value analysis
    • Valuing companies and their debt and equity instruments
    • Synthesizing research reports
    • Monitoring securities markets for news releases
    • Performing industry analysis
    • Reviewing legal documents
    • Listening to conference calls and summarizing findings
    • Supporting portfolio managers in identifying new investment opportunities
    • Working professionally and harmoniously with team and coworkers
    • Other projects and duties as assigned

    This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role may interact with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.

    Education, Skills & Experience

    Required
    • Up to 2 years of experience in a financially analytical role
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or related field required
    • Strong accounting/financial modeling and analytical skills
    • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Diligent work ethic
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously and to adjust priorities in a changing environment
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in the performance of daily activities
    • Ability to learn quickly and work independently and as part of a high-performance team
    • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions
    Preferred
    • Progress toward a CFA charterholder designation
