    Overview


    Plans and directs the activities of events that serve food and beverages in all backstage catering areas, guests catered events, and assists in all activities within events in all other areas of premium services.

    Have a wide variety of daily duties which include:
    estimating, ordering, arranging, supervising, recording, and overseeing all food, beverage and equipment. Coordinate with and provide excellent service to venue clients, while working with them on their event needs.


    Responsibilities


    • Build relationships by networking and prospecting with key decision markers, establish and develop strong and effective relationships with influencers through the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
    • Coordinate and deliver effective sales presentations.
    • Independently sources, identifies, and pursues outside networking opportunities through professional industry resources and community events, or special events attended by prospects.
    • Responsible for negotiating, authoring, and submitting finalized contracts and BEOs to Client and Internal Staff.
    • Address or coordinate all Catering requirements and requests in a timely and helpful manner.
    • Maintain accurate records for all Catering sales activities in conjunction.
    • Communicate daily with General Manager, Director of Premium, culinary staff, catering staff, and Operations Staff about the needs of our guests and their expectations.
    • Maintain an extensive client database for follow-up sales calls and contact (in person, phone, email, mail, etc.)
    • Assist with follow-up of guests experience at the venue, ensuring that all issues have been addressed.
    • Assist in the planning and coordination of catered events as directed.
    • Serves as primary group and convention contact once the contract is signed; approves any inventory or other changes, responds to questions or concerns in a timely manner.
    • Assists with oversight of accounts receivable in conjunction with assigned events.
    • Recruit, hire and oversee training of staff.
    • Ensure proper staffing levels as needed for catered events
    • Resolve customer complaints about food quality or service.
    • Responsible for assisting our clients with their menu development.
    • Helps support the Director with direction of banquet/bartending staff.
    • Directs cleaning of dining areas to maintain sanitation standards.
    • Ensures that all catering equipment is cleaned and stored in proper place.
    • Maintains safety program for banquet area.
    • Maintain all HACCP Standards in the banquet area.
    • Ability to keep appropriate records.
    • Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure that health and safety standards and liquor laws are followed.
    • Works with Director of Premium to maintain liquor and beer inventory.
    • Ability to use computer software to monitor inventory, track staff schedules, and perform other record keeping tasks.
    • Monitor and control resources.
    • Ability to communicate with supervisors, subordinates and peers.
    • Assist with all operation in suites and clubs to ensure the highest possible guest service experience

    Qualifications


    • Prefer to have 1 -3 years of management experience in a convention center, arena / stadium or hotel banquet facility.
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to speak clearly so that listeners may understand.
    • Must be able to make fast, simple, repeated movements of fingers, hands and wrists.
    • Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach out with the body, arms and/or legs.
    • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects.
    • Administration and Management training: general knowledge of managing the operations of a business, company or group.
    • Customer Service training: general knowledge of providing special services to customers based on their needs.
    • Economics and Accounting training: general knowledge of producing, supplying, and using goods and services. Also includes knowledge of keeping business records.
    • Personnel and

    Human Resources:
    general knowledge of human resources practices and procedures.

    • Experience with teaching methods involved in learning and instructing others.
    • Must complete a training program in ServSafe food handler program.
    • Must have or obtain Responsible Serving certificate (responsible alcohol serving ).
    • Must have experience in working with events and banquets.
    • Must have strong communication skills.
    • Must be self-confident and driven.
    • High school diploma or equivalent GED. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
    • Have a high level of social contact. Ability to work closely with staff and deal often with patrons.
    • Must be able to supervise, coach, and train employees.
    • Must be able to provide excellent service to all patrons.
    • General knowledge for the health and safety of patrons and staff.
    • Must be sure that all details of the job are performed and their work is accurate.
    • Must be constantly aware of changing events, such as staff or supply shortages.
    • Ability to express ideas clearly when speaking or in writing.
    • Ability to read and understand written information
    • Identify problems and review information.
    • Analyze ideas and use logic to determine strengths and weaknesses.
    • Must maintain high level of concentration.
    • Must be able to multi-task.
    • Knowledge of the rules and uses of numbers in mathematics. Areas of knowledge include arithmetic, algebra, geometry and statistics.
