    Neptune Retail Solutions provides proven and innovative data led omni-channel solutions for brands and retailers to guide consumers from shopping to buying. We are the share leader in North America in selling, producing and executing end-to-end in-store advertising, found in retailers like Kroger, Albertsons, Dollar General, Loblaws, CVS, Walgreens and Target. We are a share leader in digital incentives and our Checkout 51, owned & operated cash back shopping app, along with the deterministic first party data it generates, compliments and powers our programmatic digital media offering and, along with our FSI, we surround and guide shoppers towards purchase in-store or online.

    Job PurposeAs an Account Director for Neptune Retail Solutions, you will operate as the face of Neptune Retail Solutions to grow, develop and accelerate an independent book of small and mid-tier new and existing customer business selling digital and in-store Neptune capabilities.Neptune Retail Solutions has an established and storied history as the industry leader in delivering shopper marketing for our customers and clients. This role is designed to play a major part in the continued growth story of our organization. This is a dedicated role supporting one of our highest priority and strategic retail customers.The Account Director will operate as part of a multi-functional team focused on driving the evolving Target business and leading the continued building of iron-clad partnerships with our customers and clients. This role will sell digital and in-store programs across multiple categories in the retail store and have exposure to decision-makers. This role will require eagerness to learn and develop quickly to accelerate your knowledge of the industry and grow your career within Neptune Retail Solutions.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Manage current accounts and ensure client satisfaction. Build upon current and new relationships to close profitable business sales. Drive growth, ensuring performance is aligned with overall company goals and profitability targets.
    • Generate leads and secure meetings with potential clients to understand their business and how Neptune's Omni capabilities can solve the needs of the customers' business goals.
    • Create and deliver client-centric campaigns utilizing Neptune tools & resources to deliver data-driven proposals. Ability to build recommendations based on data, insights, and financial forecasting models is essential.
    • Engage with internal resources (Marketing, Digital Strategy, Consumer Insights, Operations, Finance, and Management) to uncover business driving opportunities and elevate client proposals
    • Deeply understand the assigned book of business and maintain a weekly forecasting cadence and reporting on opportunities, client status, and closed sales.

    Requirements:

    • 2-3 years experience in the consumer packaged goods industry; advertising and/or sales promotion agencies.
    • Deep understanding of CPG and retail industry
    • Demonstrated results. Sustainably achieved or exceeded sales and profit goals in a business-to-business environment managing existing business and/or uncovering new business.
    • Fearless tenacity and curiosity to pursue new business and uncover new opportunities.
    • Motivated to over-deliver and be rewarded accordingly. Takes ownership and maintains best-in-class organization and follows through with clients.
    • Demonstrates ability to creatively negotiate winning deals for the customer and the company.
    • Highly analytical with ability to understand how to leverage industry data (IRI, Nielsen, etc.) to develop tailored selling stories and solutions for clients.
