Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

The New York Philharmonic is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to oversee essential financial tasks. This role involves managing accounts payable processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

Handle day-to-day accounts payable inquiries and provide necessary support on documentation requirements.
Assist in preparing materials for financial audits in a timely manner.
Monitor corporate credit card expense reports and facilitate approval procedures.
Manage communication related to stale-date checks with relevant parties.
Support in the preparation and distribution of tax forms, such as 1099 and 1042.
Process incoming checks using designated tools and assist in HR-related paperwork.
Offer occasional administrative assistance to departments and uphold diversity principles.
Undertake additional tasks as delegated.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience and preferably hold an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Outlook, a basic understanding of GAAP standards, familiarity with Sage Intacct and Nexonia are advantageous.
