    Job Title: LTE Air Management Specialist

    Job Description:
    The Wisconsin DNR is looking to hire an LTE (Limited Term Employee) - Air Management Specialist at our Milwaukee, WI offices. This role involves collecting air samples at various locations in Milwaukee, conducting community-scale air quality projects, and maintaining the BioWatch sampling network. Candidates must work closely with a small team, follow sampling protocols, and be reliable and punctual.

    • 75% - Operation and maintenance of the BioWatch sampling network
      • Perform filter holder processing and maintain quality control
      • 15% - Quality Assurance for the statewide BioWatch network
        • Participate in network audits and document submission
        • Assist in implementing new SOPs and QAPPs
        • 10% - Other General and Administrative Tasks
          • Collaborate with the BioWatch coordinator on assigned activities


        Salary Information:
        This position offers a pay rate of $20.24 per hour as per the State Compensation Plan.

        Job Details:
        - Limited Term Employment: This role provides valuable work experience within a 1039-hour limit.
        - Residency Requirement: Applicant must be a resident of Wisconsin.
        - Background Checks: Criminal background checks are conducted.
        - Eligible to work in U.S.: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

        Qualifications:
        Qualified candidates will have experience in natural sciences, independent work, and professional reliability. Highly qualified candidates will possess a degree in natural sciences, sample collection/audit experience.
