The Donor Relations Specialist is responsible
for
supporting all fundraising and development activities within the Development Department, including event planning, d

Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or completion of GED required.
Bachelors Degree or related experience preferred.
Minimum Work Experience:

experience in a non-profit in a development position with fundraising and/or special event
Must have fundraising and event planning experience.
Experience
using donor database software, particularly Raisers Edge, preferred.
Other Requirements:
Must

excellent interpersonal skills, organization skills, and a demonstrated record of completing assignments.
Strong communication skills, comfortable speaking on the phone and in person.
Takes initiative with projects, asks questions, and strong follow through to completion.

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Must demonstrate high-level computer skills, including; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Electronic medical records experience may also be required.
This position requires travel to other sites and locations; if using a personal vehicle to meet this requirement, a valid CA drivers license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of CA vehicle code are required.
Abortion patients are cared for at each of our health centers and in part through the administrative, support, and other non-clinical services provided at all PPOSBC locations and by all PPOSBC employees, and supporting these critical services is an essential job duty and fundamental responsibility of all employees.

Learn, master, report, and expand utility and effectiveness of:
development
databases (including Raisers Edge).
email and communication platforms (including My Emma).
other fundraising technology and platforms (including EveryAction)

Provide support and assistance in planning, developing, producing, and delivering all communication and campaign materials and methods.
Accurate
and
timely
input
of
donor
information and gift processing

Tracking revenue and reconciling revenue with Finance department.
Perform
,
maintain, and communicate
all
donor
and
prospect
research,
including
database query and lists,
assessment
of
constituents
philanthropic
capacities,
identifying
top
prospects, and determining the depth of their engagement with the organization and other research that will inform a campaign
Provide donor-focused customer service to supporters, including building a relationship, troubleshooting/providing solutions, and being a development ambassador.
Support fundraising activities with follow-up donor calls and communication.
Responsible

administrative duties, including purchase orders, billing, answering
the phone, voicemail, and development email
Plan,
organize,
schedule,
and
help
support all meetings and conference calls for the Development department, which also includes ensuring reservations, location, and technical aspects are completed.
