    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills by displaying outlined service behaviors. Maintains an upbeat and positive attitude, creates positive energy with gestures and sustains enthusiasm from one interaction to the next. Creates an atmosphere of luck and celebrates guest's wins. Is ready to serve and is informed of daily information; builds relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting. Anticipates needs and provides fast, flawless service. Checks for satisfaction and effectively resolves service breakdowns when they exist. Promotes Total Rewards programs and card membership. Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting. Handling all incoming phone calls to the Room Service Department and channeling information to those concerned. Knowledge of all outlet menus, and availability thereof in order to sell food and beverage to hotel patrons. Handling all guest needs in a professional manner ensuring courtesy and guest satisfaction. Maintains rotation sheets, order and cover counts, comp log book, V.I.P. board, Butler suite update, 86 items and special menu items. Operates cash register and properly settles checks. Works in conjunction with Hotel Cashiering and Teleservices to ensure guest status and method of payment.


    EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

     Read and write English (other languages helpful but not necessary). Handwriting must be readable. Pleasant speaking voice. Proper telephone etiquette training. Ability to operate 10 key calculator. Typing skills helpful. Previous sales experience in hotel food and beverage. Past food server experience helpful but not necessary.
