    Job Description Summary
    The Philosophy Department is seeking a Department Administrator to oversee office administration. This role supports the Department Chair, executive committee, faculty, and graduate students. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, coordinating with university services, and ensuring efficient department activities.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Manage general departmental administration efficiently
    • Coordinate human resource needs and assist in hiring processes
    • Organize and execute departmental events and programs
    • Facilitate communication and guide students and faculty on university policies
    • Handle department budget and finance matters

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience required. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and possesses excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential. Experience in higher education and familiarity with university systems is preferred.
