- Work with Regional Finance teams and the Accounts and Controlling department in France (DCCG) to ensure that results accurately reflect operational activity.
- Ensure that reporting to DCCG and Global business unit management are communicated in a timely manner.
- Make continuous improvement to processes (reporting, forecasting, and budget) and ensure proper documentation on reporting / processes covered by the job activity.
- Provide analytical support to global business unit management.
- Continual review and improvement of existing reporting systems, from both an IT and reporting standpoint.
- Assist with on-going follow-up of business metrics, including working capital, investments and manufacturing globally.
- Work closely with Global Finance Manager and Director to prepare Budget package by consolidating regional budget templates and providing specific analysis.
- Identify areas for global process improvement year-over-year.
- Work with Global Finance Manager to assist in forecasting activities and analysis on a global level.
- Consolidate monthly forecasts of operational results, working with regional Finance teams.
- Development of tools to enhance automation of reporting. Examples include using PowerBI to build displays of data, updating / creating Excel databases to further automate processes, research and make recommendations to Global Finance Director on new tools in the marketplace.
- The primary environment will be to strengthen support to our business partners by providing financial analysis, process improvement and cost controls. The candidate will have responsibility and be accountable for understanding the results of the Global Coatings Resins business. Sensitive data accessed in the course of the job function needs to be handled appropriately with discretion. Up to 20% travel both domestically and internationally.
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Technical Bachelor required
- 1 - 3 years of Accounting / Finance or related experience in a manufacturing business required (preferably in the chemical industry).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required
- SAP experience preferred
- Attention to details.
- Cost accounting knowledge; Analytical capabilities and experience; Project Leadership skills.
- Ability to act as a change agent within the business.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks; able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
