- Accurately prepares and analyzing unit capital, labor and operating budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control. Establishes both long and short- term goals; remains within an acceptable variance of the unit's budget; documents, justifies and corrects negative variances, as warranted; communicates budgetary information to the staff; monitors FTE and operating budget variances on a daily/monthly basis to ensure optimum productivity and utilization of human material resources; implements prudent measures to reduce operating costs while maintaining productivity and high quality
