RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Marketing Director, the Marketing Specialist will:

  • Develop videos and content for social media, websites, and newsletters to generate awareness or donations
  • Organize and promote innovative ways to raise community awareness and expand relationship development
  • Research and secure fundraising opportunities online, community events or donations
  • Plan and adopt strategies for fundraising efforts
  • Create and maintain performance reports for clear visibility of the efforts required to reach the target
  • Write and refine proposals; update and maintain vendor and donor information using the CRM database
  • Perform such tasks and responsibilities as may be delegated

Applicant qualifications:


  • Undergraduate degree with 2 years' experience in Marketing, Communications/Public Relations or related field
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required
  • Must be able to relate and display sensitivity to deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind persons with varied communication skills and language levels; must be able to work with a diverse, multiethnic population
  • Knowledge of laws governing the rights of deaf and hard of hearing individuals is desired
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, be a flexible selfstarter and a resourceful team player; be detailoriented with strong organizational skills
  • Be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, sometimes with competing deadlines
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and maintain a cooperative relationship with coemployees, directors, employers, community members, other agencies and the CEO
  • Demonstrated ability to perform professionally in a fastpaced environment, be reliable and punctual, and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Must have reliable transportation and maintain uptodate auto insurance

Salary Range - $60,000-70,000 annually
