Learning … Misuse of Language and Lying LIARS who LIE

JR

don't be STUPID ~~

&

In 1948, Richard Weaver told us “ideas have consequences.” A few short years earlier, Hitler said, “let me control the textbooks and I will control the State.” Huxley and Orwell warned of dystopias where education would be used as a means to total power and total control. Yes, ideas clearly do have consequences. Good ideas lead to good culture and good government, and bad ideas lead to bad culture and bad government.

… Ideas matter …

Our track record is terrible. Decade after decade, we’ve taught our next generation “it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as it works for you,” that all morality is relative, and that good and evil are merely subjective social constructs. Year after year we’ve preached that pastors and priests are stupid and that liberation theology is the only “good religion.” Day in and day out, we’ve fomented class resentment and racial animus and diminished excellence while extolling entitlement. Why are we surprised at the result?

Our leaders have lost their courage.

Our congress has lost its consciences…

Our kids have lost their character…

Our culture has lost its soul.

Yes, ideas do have consequences and the lousy ideas we have been teaching in our colleges and universities for the past several decades are bearing themselves out daily before our eyes.

From: Not a Day Care: The Devastating Consequences of Abandoning Truth ~Dr Everett Piper

If one has “eyes that see and ears that hear” … ignorance & stupidity is flourishing ... as is greed ... and evil

The thought that evil is greedy & increasing occurred to me as I was writing:

https://www.bebee.com/producer/@fay-vietmeier-pennsylvania/where-there-is-an-evil-will-there-is-an-evil-way

I happened upon an old post today from 2017: by @Javier “Letter from a teacher for ignoranthttps://www.bebee.com/producer/@javierbebee/carta-de-una-profesora-para-ignorantes

… which prompted me to write this post … then Socrates helped me to connect the ideas:

“The misuse of language induces evil in the soul” … WOW!!~~**

… which made me think about another post: What do your words say about you? (@me ;~)

https://www.bebee.com/producer/@fay-vietmeier-pennsylvania/what-do-your-words-say-about-you

Now to the increase of “ignorance & stupidity” and the “misuse of language”

Considering the decline in education outcomes (here in the USA) ... I often think learning was better achieved in one-room school houses.

There seems no end to the dollars that have been thrown at “education” … but that increase in spending only seems to bring diminishing returns.

The multi-million ... even billion dollar educational facilities/institutions of "higher learning" are too often mere brick & mortar … teaching & housing stupidity

By their fruit you will know them: "Stupid is as stupid does" ~ Forest Gump

“More is caught than taught” … at home … in school … in organizational structures …in relationships … in cultures

Assuredly, critical thinking ... and reason are NOT being taught or caught (well not very much or very well)

And ... common sense has become paradoxically, uncommon

“The state of Education in America is not without cause…we have taught our children to be self-absorbed…arrogant…entitled…coddled like bad eggs…

Education today is clearly in crisis. The contemporary university is no longer known for pursuing truth, but rather for celebrating tolerance, and in the name of tolerance we are told that our intolerance is intolerable. Education’s elites actually parrot this pablum, and they do so with a straight face. It is as if we are watching a dog chase its tail. It would be humorous if this self-refuting duplicity weren’t so sad.”

Quoted Dr Everett Piper ~Not a Day Care: The Devastating Consequences of Abandoning Truth

In Javier’s post “Letter from a teacher for ignorant” … this is what caught my eye: "And now, the question: our politicians and many journalists … do they misuse the language for ideological reasons”

https://www.bebee.com/producer/@javierbebee/carta-de-una-profesora-para-ignorantes

History reveals that "misuse of language for ideological reasons" is a repeated strategy ... which reminded me of the "repeating fractals" mentioned by @AliAnani

LIES are a commonly practiced “misuse of language for ideological reasons”

2 Political language... is

quotespedia.info George Orwell

Be careful: There is usually a “little truth behind most lies … LIES are clever in that they may hold some part of truth or manipulate truth… not being able to discern truth causes one to walk toward the LIAR instead of Truth” ~Everett Piper

Lying Liars who LIE … even to the extreme of questioning the actual definition of words … or calling into question your ability to hear or understand … LIARS want you to hear what … they want you to hear (hearing & reason be gone) ~fem-v

Not take the wax out of your ears;~) … rather “wax on … wax in“ (a twist from Karate kid)

People do not believe lies because they have to, but because they want to.

Rarely do you hear a LIAR being called a “LIAR” … lies are softened to be more politically correct: “that’s an untruth” or “that’s not what was actually being said” or “the words were misunderstood or misinterpreted” … REALLY?

“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.” attributed to Adolf Hitler

"Untruth" can be misinformation or blatant LIES

Wisdom & discernment are required.

Greg Rolfe Greg~ It is on occasion nice to learn "you are not alone" (as stated in this buzz) https://www.bebee.com/producer/@fay-vietmeier-pennsylvania/prayers-for-the-lone-star-state-you-are-not-alone-texas We know from Scripture that "a man who is walking in the dark does not know where he is going" This is like unconscious incompetence: you don't even know ... that you don't even know Sadly: if a parent is in the dark and/or at this level of consciousness Then the state or the condition of the parents falls to the children. The prayer is that somewhere the in the life journey ... they find Light ... come into the Light of Christ and begin the process of transformation. This is my own journey. I love the assurance of Christ: "I AM with you" ... even to end of the age. "The Lord will lead continually'

Wow this buzz is way to close to my personal opinion for comfort. I must agree with David Lopez moral are taught at home but when they are not they will be caught at school. Twisted language has demonstrated twisted caught ideals and now morals. Perhaps I should change that to ethics as that is more accurate. Churches should be teaching and modeling scriptural morals and ethics and so should be reinforcing parents who are teaching slimier morals. But Fay brought up a good point if parents are not intentionally teaching moral or ethics what they are teaching will be learned. So perhaps children are indeed learning morals and ethics at home its just those morals and ethics are based and centered on lies.

David Navarro L\u00f3pez David~ Thank you for reading and thoughtfully commenting (I notice you are now following me ;~) double thanks ;~) I could not agree with you more…“Teachers and preachers cannot substitute parents” Nor should they (let alone be expected to) Too many parents are abdicating their parental responsibilities in too many ways. Wrong-thinking Wrong-focus Wrong-values Result in … wrongly-relinquishing the formation & shaping of THEIR child/children’s heart & mind to another … what a sorrowful LOSS !!!~~~*** The shaping the heart & mind of a child is a great privilege and gift from God … PLUS this responsibility is for the parents primarily … although grandparents (and other family members) can be great influencers on children/grandchildren Blessed are the children who have wise, responsible, present, nurturing & caring parents (and grandparents) ...Many complexities... … And then there are many families broken apart through divorce (this breaking always impacts the children – I know this firsthand) … and a shocking number of couples who are NOT married but having children (often with multiple partners) … the children often become the financial responsibility of the State & Federal government (well here in the USA) ... I am shocked to see very young children wandering the streets in my own neighborhood ... children "left to their own devices" ... growing up without right-guidance …Many complexities…

@AliAnani (being new to beBEE I wanted to ask you a question - when responding to a comment: @name if the "name"presents as an option -then this person is following you ... if no name presents then not following?) and what is "SCAMPER" Do you see a decline in true LEARNING in your corner of the world? "We live in a blinded world" ... I have a list of things I'm writing about this is on it (I take this as confirmation ;~) I need to stop hanging out with you ;~) because all I want to do is write and respond to insightful comments I'm neglecting a LONG list of "things to do" ... which include work for Aletheia Energy (my humble business)

Thank you for this challenging post. Looking at it though, there is something I don't really see, maybe due to language issues. If education is the sum of knowledge and values, then knowledge is given in schools, and values are given at home. The decline of morality happens at home, where parents are taking less and less protagonism, and lending their responsibilities to teachers. It is at home, not at school, where a child has to learn to be truthful, honest, to have courage, to have a cultivated conscience, to forge the character, to forge their soul. At school, you can learn geometry, languages, etc. From what we can learn at school we have more than enough. With all due respect, and most kindness to them, teachers are not people I would like my children to take an example for their own lives, as teachers usually need to give up a significant family life if they want to succeed as teachers. Teaching is a vocation which in many cases is not compatible with family. What we are lacking is what it can be taught at home. Teachers and preachers can not substitute parents. Or this way I did learn it. Maybe I am wrong.

Fay Vietmeier Thank you for this interesting buzz and for my mention. It is interesting how you use SCAMPER to generate good ideas and away from the growing stupidity. One example is how you reached your formula of combining ideas “Now to the increase of “ignorance & stupidity” and the “misuse of language”. This combination of what seems fist unrelated ideas guided your effort in writing this factual and saddening buzz about the declining education. We live in a blinded world.
