Do What You Want
It’s almost Daylight Savings Time. That’ when you set your clocks an hour ahead, and lose some sleep. How did people come up with the term “daylight savings time” anyways? It sounds to me like some scientist figured out a way to save daylight and use it when it got too dark. Don’t they call that Solar Power?
Anyways, don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour this weekend.
I’ve been busy getting my paperwork and portfolio together to get into art school and haven’t posted anything on my blog page in almost two weeks. I try to write one or two posts a week. Since I have most of my paperwork turned in I thought I’d take a break from drawing as well.
It seems like even when I take a break from doing something I still like to stay busy. I guess that’s why blogging is a good hobby for my spare time. People say an object in motion tends to stay in motion….or is it tends to get no rest?
I was looking at the courses offered at different schools around Seattle and an Interior Architecture course at Cornish School of the Arts looked like a good match for me. With my construction background and drawing as a hobby it’s something I can get into without getting more injuries. There’s just a lot of leg-work to get in.
I have to get my transcripts from one more school and do a few more drawings for my portfolio. With any luck I’ll have everything ready by next week.
There’s an open house at the school March 25th at 10 a.m. It’s on a Saturday for all you out there who sleep in on the weekends. That’s when I’ll find out more about the school and classes offered there.
Getting hurt in Alaska and fighting for my SSI was rough, but now I can take the time to figure out what I really want to do for work and with my time. I realize not everyone gets that kind of chance.
Someone once told me there are 168 hours in a week. I hope everyone spend a couple on what they really want to do.
