Breaking Free

Breaking Free

480c8996.png

Breaking free from ... CONFORMITY.

Finding TRUTH and wisdom. That is key

Breaking free from ... UNSEEN captivity

... will give you “eyes to see” AND perceive.

Breaking free from all the “shadow casters”

Who rob true identity ... and create disaster

Do you know the devil is a persuasive pastor?

... on silent airwaves ... a brilliant broadcaster

... on the path of LIFE ... a subtle slave-master

Have you noticed this is an Age of ARROGANCE?

Which has given birth to a culture of IGNORANCE

Which has produced .. the Age of MIS-Information

Spreading LIES and corrupting truth in every nation

In a dark web .. children too soon lose INNOCENCE

Schools indoctrinate students & teach “SAMENESS”

Resulting in insolence, ambivalence & mindlessness

Poison PLATITUDES .. fuel attitudes of DISSIDENCE

LAWLESSNESS IS where selfishness turns villainous

The :god of this age" is leading you into the MATRIX

The Enemy is deceiving you and astutely plays tricks

... on your mind to take control of your life ...

... to rob you of peace and fill you with STRIFE

“Dis-ease” causes disease but the race won’t relent

until you give EVERYTHING … and all of you is spent.

You are taught to react ... NOT thoughtfully respond.

You are taught NOT to question … ask what is beyond?

You are NOT told to seek the Truth… but settle for LIES

“Will you walk into my parlor?” *said the spider to the fly.

Satan is just like the spider. He knows exactly what to try ...

As the “father of lies” ... he is ever so clever ... and ever so sly

He appeals to “self”... how deserving you are. Enter thru this popular door

He knows you’re like an addict, never satisfied, you will always want MORE

He allures you with flattery. His seduction is sweet. His path is a LAIR

The enemy of your soul offers trinkets ... but you don’t see the SNARE.

Are you ANXIOUS? Are you weary? Are you awake in some nightmare?

Does your life feel chaotic? Is your heart BURDENED with many cares?

How often do you feel that LIVING ... just hinges on a wing & a prayer?

Broken hearts & broken dreams ... broken promises are endless streams ... that we all share

If you should wake before you die ... can you break FREE? Your striving only produces despair

Guilt & shame ... doubt and blame ... we all carry them the same. It’s NO GAME ... they ensnare

Breaking free from your past is a catalyst to be born anew.

A mind packed with pain & regret will always block your view.

Lay down those burdens. Let them go. LIGHT will break through.

Do you know the ONE who can make you FREE. Will you accept His dare?

“I am the Way. I am the Truth & Life” said Christ. HIS life ... God did not spare.

“He laid down His life for us.” By His SACRIFICE our brokenness can be repaired.

Jesus is the “Glorious-Glue.” He will “make all things new.” His GRACE is everywhere.

The GOOD news: We are not alone. Not left as orphans. Each day our burdens, He bears.

“It is for freedom that Christ set us FREE.” Love others AS yourself. Such LOVE does all forbear.

His invitation “Follow Me.” I AM the Good Shepherd, your place in eternity, I have gone to prepare.

“Every happening, great and small, is a parable whereby God speaks to us, and the art of life is to get the message.” ~ Malcolm Muggeridge

TRUTH is speaking to us during our brief earthly journey.

It has been said “there are many paths but only One Way”

One path offers eternal LIFE … the others are a mystery

We FREELY choose the path we take ... the rest is history

Here is true freedom: “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed”

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+8&version=NIV

“It is in Christ that we find out who we are & what we are living for. Long before we heard of Him. He had His eye on us ... designs on us for glorious living. It is part of the overall purpose that He is working out in everything & everyone."(Ephesians 1)

A formula that leads to freedom: “More of God ~ less of me”

The “desire-ability” to apply the formula will result in being God-centered instead of self-centered.

“Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God’s action in them find that God’s Spirit is in them—living and breathing God! Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, FREE life. Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in “self” ... ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. And God isn’t pleased at being ignored.”

Romans 8 The Message Bible (verses 5-8)

Harvey Lloyd (part 2) You say: ... "the differences between good and evil" ... "The key to good and evil is tension. A tension of consciousness that holds the individual and group together under common beliefs. The larger question is can one human dictate these beliefs without their own bias inserted?" ... "The one thing i have come to realize in each generation is the choice of belief has been supplanted with experience." I believe that written on the human heart there IS an understanding of the difference between good & evil (this knowing can become distorted-biased-corrupted-educated-deluded or denied) Throughout human history the source & standard of a moral code is always questioned. Does each human determine the standard of “good & evil right & wrong” (each is their own source) Or Is there a Divine Author ... A Divine Source & Standard of morality: “good & evil ... right & wrong?” “Choice of beliefs” ... sacred is the gift of free will ... each day we make “choices” These choices determine our destination and our destiny. We freely CHOOSE the path we take Each day ... each moment ... we CHOOSE ... the BELIEFS we will hold ... which way we will go ... which thoughts we will think ... what voices we will listen to ... which words we will speak ... the actions we will take ... the habits we will form ... the character which will define us ... the people & the things we will love

Harvey Lloyd Harvey ... my sincere apology for the delay in responding to your always thought-provoking comments. (which I saw yesterday ... because of your message ... I seem to not be getting notice of comments?) 1) You say: ... “The reality that separates us from animals is this singularity. Consciousness” “No one can act beyond their level of consciousness” (I invite you to read my lengthy comments to Cyndi Wilkins below ... I can’t say it any better ) 2) You mention the “Golden rule” ... principle of treating others as you want to be treated/considered an ethic of reciprocity. I was very surprised when mentioning the "Golden rule" during a business round table (a couple years ago) ... that no one present knew what it meant. But they did not the “Platinum rule” ... “Treat others the way they would like to be treated.” Which (IMHO) could be a bit of a mystery ;~) (part 1)

Lyon Brave Oh "Brave Lyon" ... what a great question ... "how do you know the difference between strife and purpose?" Broken hearts & broken dreams ... broken promises are endless streams ... that we all share If you should wake before you die ... can you break FREE? Your striving only produces despair Guilt & shame ... doubt and blame ... we all carry them the same. It’s NO GAME ... they ensnare Striving : to exert oneself vigorously; try hard: He strove to make himself understood. to make strenuous efforts toward any goal: to strive for success. to contend in opposition (this is self-effort) Vs Purpose: the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists. Each life is unique. God has uniquely gifted each person with a unique purpose As a woman of faith ... I share this: "It is in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for (this is "purpose") Long before we heard of Him, He had his eye on us ... and designs on us for glorious living. It is part of the overall PURPOSE that He is working out in everything and everyone." ~ Ephesians 1 Being "in Christ" ... is a heart decision. A relationship that bears Divine provision & spiritual equipping ... is a unique Source of strength & peace ... direction and fulfillment. This becomes a life journey ... all growth is a process. I shall tuck your encouraging review "brilliant poem" in my heart. Thank you ;~) Take good care of you "Brave Lyon"

Cyndi wilkins (part 3) https://www.bebee.com/producer/@fay-vietmeier-pennsylvania/are-you-suffering-from-full-cup-syndrome an excerpt: In truth everyone suffers from “full-cup” syndrome at various stages in life and to various degrees. One key is recognition: honest assessment and a desire to grow beyond what holds you back … keeps you from becoming your “best you” If truth be told: at best, our ability to honestly assess is flawed ;~) Another is your level of consciousness: The greatest achievement of humanity is not in technology, art or science. It is in the growing recognition of its own ego-based dysfunction. How we communicate has everything to do with our level of consciousness. No one can act beyond their level of consciousness. The dysfunction of our ego-based mind has been magnified through science and technology.” ~ Phil Johnson “Recognition of ego-based dysfunction” … requires looking inward: looking at the whole human being: Heart & soul (mind-will-emotions) ... WITH some room in your cup ... One never knows what seed-thoughts might fall into fertile ground that has been plowed open ... waiting to receive "Sometimes we need an empty space in our minds that we may fill it with (new*-my add) ... ideas that are not contaminated with some long-held and constraining beliefs” ~ Ali Anani Being able to consider new IDEAS ... new BELIEFS will only happen if we have “some room in our cup” … “some empty space that we may fill ” ... because our mind is “NOT being “contaminated with some long-held and constraining beliefs" Again, when you lay hold of what IS valuable ... hold it firm in your heart and mind. Live ... LOVE ... Share what is valuable.

Fay Vietmeier

Cyndi wilkins continued... What you say here: “If you wish to free yourself from the confines of conformity, begin to makes choices that challenge your own thinking.” Your admonishment is "rightly ordered" ... a thinking person should examine what is truth ... what is valuable? Reminds me of my post: “Are you suffering from full-cup syndrome?” The point of the writing was: “CHALLENGE your own thinking” But there is a caveat to the challenge: The object in our LIFE journey is FINDING and then HOLDING ON to what IS valuable ... if you find Truth ... if you find Wisdom ... if you find Peace ... then you are blessed. DO NOT lay them down or let them go.

Cyndi wilkins Cyndi ... thank you for saying "beautiful" ... before I forget, I hope that in spite of the “corona-cloud” You are carving out adventures with your daughter ... finding places of peace & time to savor the simple things: I enjoy watching birds ... hearing their grateful songs ;~) You say: “The truth whispers softly to the faithful heart ... We must be sensitive & alert to not miss what Truth might whisper to us. ... while the voices of corruption and abuse of power scream loudly in one's ear.” We must guard our ears ... our heart and mind from these corrupting forces. ... I have had a persistent ear infection so I can only hear half the screams ;~) We FREELY choose the path we take Each day ... each moment ... we choose ... which way we will go ... which thoughts we will think ... what voices we will listen to ... which words we will speak ... the actions we will take ... the habits we will form ... the character which will define us ... the people & the things we will love (part 1)

Fay Vietmeier...Beautiful piece here... "TRUTH is speaking to us during our brief earthly journey. It has been said “there are many paths but only One Way” One path offers eternal LIFE … the others are a mystery We FREELY choose the path we take ... the rest is history" The truth whispers softly to the faithful heart, while the voices of corruption and abuse of power scream loudly in one's ear. The decision is solely ours which voice to follow...So I offer this... If you wish to free yourself from the confines of conformity, begin to makes choices that challenge your own thinking. I am reminded here of something Ian Weinberg stated in his most recent article discussing his challenge with COVID..."Best you read read up on all that you've written and start living it." I saw it on LI...not sure if he posted it here...But if I can find it, I will post the link...Very informative...His words helped me at a time I was caught in its grasp...You my dear Faye, offer us the knowing that we are never alone...even in those quiet moments of solitude...there is always the listening ear of love;-)

how do you know the difference between strife and purpose? This is a brilliant poem.

Harvey Lloyd

3 years ago #27

Fay, in both the spiritual and material world there is a moment in time where humanity became self aware. Science still wrestles with this concept where religious folks all have a time where mankind evolved spiritually into the understanding of good and evil. (Apple) The reality that separates us from animals is this singularity. Consciousness. If we can separate this concept into a critical thinking review we can see that humanity holds this common background. Consciousness is the moment in history that we began to understand we could influence our surroundings in a direction. Not pure survival but rather survival with the need to build community. We understood from that point forward the differences between good and evil. The key to good and evil is tension. A tension of consciousness that holds the individual and group together under common beliefs. The larger question is can one human dictate these beliefs without their own bias inserted? Not even Solomon could carry this burden with all his efforts to achieve on earth a balance between good and evil. Many since him have tried. We have many now trying to exact their own versions of good and evil upon society. I have researched many different spiritual positions and only the Bible explains humanity from start to present in any way that is usable going forward. The one thing i have come to realize in each generation is the choice of belief has been supplanted with experience. From education to religion we only offer right and wrong and not critical thinking of the choice itself. The choice is not binary with something else, but rather the basis of how we live and share life.

Harvey Lloyd

3 years ago #26

Good and evil or however one would describe the binary positions of accepted social behavior, represent humanity and its struggles to exist. To some degree we all “believe” something. Not necessarily that one belief is evil while another holy. Within these beliefs we have noble goals that motivate us, but the hinge is how we achieve these goals. We are fooled into believing we can escape the golden rule within a moment to achieve the goal, and then return. The momentum of escape is difficult to reverse. We are seeing this momentum here in the States as we wrestle with methods of policing. The escape velocity from the golden rule reached will be hard to reverse. Although materially we all must decide the differences within good and evil, within humanity we must all share a common matrix that humans are sacred. With this belief we can have actions that share the golden rule within them.

Roberto De la Cruz Utria Many live LIFE ... sometimes even their entire life without connection to their spiritual being. This is like leaving out 1/3 of one's LIFE. Body + soul + spirit = "this treasure in a jar of clay" Without connection to the spiritual there is a lack understanding of what is happening in on'e very spirit & the spiritual realm One's full potential as a human being is limited ... Your welcome Roberto ;~) "Being attentive" ... this is a helpful (awake) quality in LIFE ... like vigilance ... and self-awareness

Roberto De la Cruz Utria Roberto ~ I always look forward to what thoughtful comment you will leave me to ponder ;~) Thank you for your encouraging review " excellent" ... it is sweet to this bee ;~) This morning I was listening to a message that drove home this point. That people are not just in some self-induced "lethargy" ... or "sleeping"... rather their very spirit is "dead" Now this is speaking about the spirit man. Which is why Christ said: you must be "born again" Spiritual rebirth awakens the spirit man & then can follow understanding of what is happening in the spiritual realm Being asleep spiritually: is like living in the dark ... walking in the dark Scripture tells us: "A man walking in the dark does not know where he is going"

Ali \ud83d\udc1d Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee My dearest Professor ~ I am honored that you return to beBee to stay in touch with caring bees. I’ll mention here that I’ve been noticing those spam-like comments being deleted or removed ... which is a needed action I noted that on one of your old posts that I happened upon yesterday (shared & commented there) ... from 2017 “Traits of rare leaders” https://www.bebee.com/producer/@ali-anani/traits-of-rare-leaders I’m mentioning it here because one thing you said there: “There are rare things in life” Truth is a “rare thing” Genuine faith is a “rare thing” Spiritual strength is a “rare thing” These are “rare” ... in that anyone can lay hold of them: ... they are available/accessible ... but it seems only a FEW recognize & accept ... BELIEVE & RECEIVE what God has said. (I love the song by) Lauren Daigle “You Say” (which drives home that message) I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I'm not enough Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low? Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing You say I am strong when I think I am weak And You say I am held when I am falling short And when I don't belong, oh, You say I am Yours And I believe What You say of me I BELIEVE

Pascal Derrien ... thank you so much Pascal for taking time & reading ... walking away with a thought to ponder ;~) I forgot to give reference to the line (and the analogy) at the end of "Breaking Free" (will add in) The Spider & The Fly poem was written by Mary Howitt ... published in 1829 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Spider_and_the_Fly_(poem) The opening line is one of the most recognized and quoted first lines in all of English verse.[3] Often misquoted as "Step into my parlour" or "Come into my parlour", it has become an aphorism, often used to indicate a false offer of help or friendship that is in fact a trap. If you have not read the poem I think you will enjoy taking a spin into the spiders lair Hope all is well with you and you family including infamous-feline, Evie

Dear Fay Vietmeier My dear- this is the first time I visit beBee just for you. Where is the previous level of engagement? Saddening it is. You started your classy poem with Breaking free from ... CONFORMITY Yes, group conformity results in similar thinking. It is close to blindness. However; conformity to simple rules like flying birds do so as not to collide while on flight is a purposeful one. Conformity that takes away our ability to think is weakening. Conformity to agreed simple rules reinforce. This is an idea for a post. You are a great source of inspiration my friend The questions that you ask towards the end of the post are overwhelming. I do ask myself same questions now and then. These are profound questions and all show that no matter how strong we may become we are still weak. Great post and I am sharing it dear.

John Rylance John ~ thank you for reading & your always thoughtful comments. Free will is a gift. Not a human who has ever lived always makes the right decisions or takes the right path. I can testify that in my life I have made some terrible decisions. Lived through many detours. The life journey is filled with mystery ... and hopefully magic. As a woman of faith, I believe that God is a Compass. A Divine-Guide ... His Spirit illuminates the heart & mind. ... He can make a crooked path ... straight ... He can direct our feet on a path of righteousness To me: Righteousness is right-thinking ... right-doing NOT perfection ... for there are no perfect people and the human heart is self-deceived Interesting what you say about the “flights” once our earthy life has ended. I have been listening on the radio to an excellent series by David Jeremiah based on his book: Revealing the Mysteries of Heaven (even after his deep research on the subject, David affirms there is much we do not know) When we reach our “destination” ... I’m sure there will be much magic & MAJESTY ... “more than we can even imagine” ... yet still, just as in life ...eternity will UNFOLD DISCOVERY will be ongoing and mysteries revealed. https://www.davidjeremiah.org/radio/archives began 7-1-20: “What’s up with heaven?”- part 1 https://www.davidjeremiah.org/radio/player?id=3287

Ken Boddie Ken~ your comments always bring a smile. I appreciate you. In our human journey, much is complex. IMHO: A relationship with God is vastly different than “religion” ... I was not always a believer. My faith grew AS I had a desire to know Him ... and to know Him more. My relationship grew over decades. (just as all relationships do ... or not) Being “in Christ” has great influence in my LIFE, my thinking ... my words. ... “religion” is of man. Man’s attempt to reach God. Religion is historically corrupted. Which is no surprise because humans are “broken” (sinful) ... and human-thinking is often corrupted. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55) The sinful practices of men in the name of religion reflect this. People have even turned away from God because of it. But the Standard is NOT man ... rather God. God’s plan to reach man in a very personal grace-filled way ... to redeem & restore humanity is through Christ. “Jesus came from the Father full of Grace & Truth” At great price: “Christ bought us with His blood and made us free from the Law.” (Galatians 3:13) It is never too late to change ones mind about God ;~) ... the thief who hung on a cross next to Christ made his decision in the last moments of his life.

We freely choose the path we take .... the rest is history. This for me sums up for me the best path to take through life. We might not always choose the right one (a mystery tour on which we learn more about ourselves), but the important thing is we freely chose that path and having retraced our steps followed a diversion back to our true path as we see it. The terminus we reach at the end of this life will like airports have on going "flights" to our final destination whatever that might be based on our own personal beliefs.

I must say I admire your persistence with your faith, Fay. Can’t say I’m religious at all. I tend to be more involved in non-prophet organisations. 😂 If that means I’m headed south instead of north, well you don’t get much more down-under and hotter than Queensland in summer.
