"Be a songbird"

"Be a songbird"

I share this as a contrast to the “Society of Solipsism” whose self-leaning & self-serving members presume that the world revolves around them and are swayed by their seemingly endless flow of poisonous platitudes & vitriol: often mindless, unreasoned words intended to divide and conquer … and bring praise to themselves.

“Come now, let us reason together” ~ Isaiah 1:18

Words of gratitude, thanksgiving and praise are a much needed balm for the soul & spirit … edifying, calming and “relevant” in an increasingly divided world.

"Be a songbird"

In the morning … as I enjoy the refuge of my patio, I love to “be still” and read God’s Word and pray. In these quiet times I hear birds sweetly singing … their beautiful songs remind me to be thankful.

Gratitude can be heard in the cacophony of praise that is instilled in creation: The wind “whistles” … trees “whisper” … brooks “babble” … oceans “roar” … crickets “chirp” …frogs “croak” … and birds “sing”

Like a wondrous, winged orchestra bird’s rise at dawn to sing to God: their cheerful songs of praise and gentle gratitude’s can be heard throughout each day … These flocking, feathered musicians are models of thankfulness … if we but listen.

This was overheard at dawn in an orchard:

Said the Robin to the Sparrow

“I should really like to know

Why these anxious human beings

Rush about and worry so.”

Said the Sparrow to the Robin:

“Friend I think that it must be

They have no Heavenly Father

Such as cares for you and me” ~ Elizabeth Cheney

Paganini, the great Italian violinist, once stepped onstage only to discover that there was something wrong with his violin. As the audience was ending their applause, he looked at the instrument and realized this was not his best and most valuable one … in fact the violin was not his at all. Momentarily he felt paralyzed, but he quickly turned to his audience telling them that there had been some mistake and that he did not have his own violin. He stepped behind the curtain, thinking he must have left it back stage, but discovered that his had been stolen and the inferior one left in its place. Collecting himself, Paganini stepped onstage again and spoke to the audience. He said, “Ladies and gentlemen, I will now demonstrate that the music is not in the instrument but in the soul.”

Songs of praise do not come from your circumstances … rather from your heart and soul

Tenderly, the Lord is making you into an instrument of His praise.

Harken songbird … sweetly sing

Worship lifted to the King

Sing, my heart because I must

Lift my song to Whom I trust

Be a nightingale my heart

Heavy burdens soon depart.

Song bird, sing with praises sweet

Lift your voice and praise repeat

In Your Throne room Lord, we meet.

Holy God we kneel before

Our Redeemer souls restore

Lovely praises songbird sing

Wings are lowered … stillness bring …

Hear the whisper of His voice

All together hearts rejoice

Quiet spirits … lay down needs …

Bind up hearts and captives freed

Burden-Bearer hear our song

To you Jesus, we belong.

Oswaldo Enrique Diaz Delgado Oswaldo~ It is not like me to have missed your always thoughtful ... even poetic words ;~) (Sometimes beBee platform presents translation ... but usually not-which adds a step to responding) "Living Beings among them the human race" ... this makes me think that human beings may be breathing air and walking around but NOT "filled with the Spirit who gives "life" ... being "born again" is God's spirit giving new life to your spirit (because you desire new birth/being born again) Those who are "born again" receive "the good deposit of the Holy Spirit in the heart which guarantees what is to come" (eternal life) Wishing God's rich wisdom & blessings upon your life, your family & your work ~In His Light ~ Fay
